Dreamville Records finally unleashed Revenge Of The Dreamers III on July 5 and it didn’t disappoint. Unsurprisingly, the J. Cole-curated project has nabbed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 for the week ending July 11.
Meanwhile, Chris Brown’s Indigo (which sat in the No.1 spot last week) moves to No. 3 and Lil Nas X’s 7 drops from No. 2 to No. 4.
Machine Gun Kelly’s Hotel Diablo has also made its debut in the Top 5, while Jaden Smith’s ERYS has landed in the Top 15.

Cole and his small army of collaborators have made Revenge Of The Dreamers III a bona fide success. With 115,412 total album equivalent units, 23,284 pure album sales and a streaming account of 120,792,837, the project has earned the coveted Billboard position.
J.I.D, EARTHGANG, Buddy and Vince Staples are just a few of the artists who contributed to the massive compilation album.
Revenge Of The Dreamers II, which arrived in 2015, peaked at No. 24. The latest installment in the series’ No. 1 debut is a testament to not only Cole’s growth as an artist but the label’s as well.

Open For Business
MGK’s latest project Hotel Diablo has made its chart entrance at No. 5 with 38,870 total album equivalent units, 16,430 pure album sales and a streaming count of 27,659,289.
The 13-track project features Trippie Redd, Phem, Lil Skies, Naomi Wild, Madison Love and (naturally) an Eminem mention.
Hotel Diablo has already performed much better than 2018’s BINGE EP, which failed to capitalize off Kelly’s highly publicized beef with Slim Shady. The EP debuted at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 21,510. It dropped to number 111 in its second week and disappeared completely in its third week.

Jaden Smith has continued his SYRE saga with ERYS, which boasts contributions from artists such as Tyler, The Creator and Kid Cudi.
Armed with plenty of star power, the project has debuted at No. 12 with 23,932 total album equivalent units, 4,036 pure album sales and a streaming count of 25,643,090.
In 2017, SYRE, made its Billboard 200 entrance at No. 24 with roughly the same amount in sales.

Good numbers for Dreamville – clearly shows actual rapping and not all auto tune will always be popular. MGK wasn’t too bad, doubt he’d have sold that much without the em beef. Jaden Smith needs to stop making that garbage though. His dad was trash enough, imagine having that amount of publicity and still selling only 4000 copies.

Smh. KRIT’s album should have been on there somewhere. That dude deserves to blow up more, not become the next Kendrick necessarily, but at least crack the top 10 of billboard.
