Jaden Smith Unveils “ERYS” Album Featuring Kid Cudi & Tyler, The Creator

Jaden Smith is back with ERYS, the cleverly titled follow-up to 2017’s SYRE. The 17-track effort includes guest vocals from Tyler, The Creator, Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, Trinidad James and his sister Willow as well as three bonus cuts.

Smith’s Instagram account has been taken over with promo for the project titled The Erys Movie Trailer. According to the caption, the score was written by Ricky Eat Acid In Reverse.

In between the two official studio albums, Jaden dropped a electric version of SYRE appropriately called SYRE: The Electric Album, which wasn’t quite able to capture the initial magic of the original. He also dropped The Sunset Tapes: A Cool Tape Story last year.

ERYS not only continues the SYRE narrative but also attempts to capture the beautiful complexity of SYRE.

    1. Not listening to this. Currently listening to TrillStakik by Bun B. Bandana by Fred Gibbs. Revenge 2 by Jesse Is Heavyweight. Jaden I’ll wait on the single man. Sorry.

    2. hyped for this tho Trinidad? Haven’t heard of this mf for the longest while

    3. You know what I find strange … This site never seems to mention Joyner Lucas …who I think is killing it right now. But no articles or reviews…strange.

      1. There’s an article released about him paying for a funeral …. I had the same opinion about a lack of coverage on Marlon Craft but had missed a previous article and then they recently had an interview with …. it’s easy to miss articles … neither get as much play as they should but they are covered

        1. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t support black artists if I hated black people. There’s a difference between criticizing people and hatred for them. I was criticizing the gangsters trying to market their ugly legacy for a profit.

          1. Didn’t you get the memo that says if you criticize a black person it means you are a hateful racist … #EverythingWhitePeopleDoOrSayIsRacist …. it’s trending on Life

    4. tbh this one’s really unusual… Probably more so than Syre… There’s a couple of good songs, a couple of extremely weird ones and ones that are just plain mediocre… Tyler, Rocky and Cudder carrying tf out of this one for sure. Now wasn’t there a project with Cole and the gang also out?

    5. My first complete listen and there’s some standout tracks. I’m pretty happy with the project, it’s not for everyone tho. If you used to black kids performing typical stereotypes tropes you probably won’t enjoy this.

    6. Shoulda named the first track “3-Some” ft. Kkd Cudi & Tyler The Creator. Because they are all gay.

    7. You had uncle Phil’s, Stallone, Arnold Swartz, Mr T, and so on back one generation. WTF happened since then. Glitter bomb blew up over the underwear of half these boys nowadays.

    8. Real question …. does he have cancer? He really looks sickly …. are his eyebrows shaved? I knew someone that randomly did that and he eventually had to spend time in a mental institution after a suicide attempt …. Someone should make sure he’s all right
