Machine Gun Kelly Returns With “Hotel Diablo” Album

Machine Gun Kelly is open for business. The fiery rapper has returned with Hotel Diablo, his follow-up to last year’s BINGE EP and first full-length album since 2017’s bloom.

Boasting 14 tracks, Hotel Diablo features guest contributions from Trippie Redd, Phem, Lil Skies, Naomi Wild and Madison Love.

Few details were known prior to the album’s release other than the Bird Box actor got a head tattoo in support of the project last month. On Thursday afternoon (July 4), MGK insisted it was enjoyable in whatever state his fans happen to find themselves in when listening to the album for the first time.

Considering it’s Independence Day, the “Rap Devil” mastermind assumed most people were going to be intoxicated when they hit play.

“I’m guessing a lot of y’all are gonna be drunk when listening to the album tonight because of the holiday so find a designated drive, tell them get on the highway, go fast, and turn it up load,” he tweeted. “then listen again tomorrow!!! and the next day, and the next .. #Hotel Diablo.”

“you can listen to it sober and get the same high,” he tweeted. “good albums work like that.”

    1. I didn’t used to follow MGK at all until the Eminem thing, just his “Wild Boy” song from 2012. Come to find out he actually had some dope shit between then and now, although the quality varies a lot. I’ll be checking for this one for sure. Of course the Em stans will say it flopped no matter what and claim its evidence that Em destroyed his career, but whatever.

      1. After his beef with Eminem he dropped his Binge project and only sold 20k. I would definitely consider that a flop

        1. I passed through a TOP record store in NY when that joint dropped and they had all the CD’s in a makeshift clearance bin. NY FOR THE WIN.

        2. That was an EP that was rushed through to capitalize off the Eminem controversy. Only a select few established artists like Em, Wayne, Kanye could release something on such short notice with no radio single and still have it do well. I’m not saying it didn’t flop, but it’s not necessarily evidence of where his career is at either.

            1. He has 2 shows in japan, 7 shows in the uk, plays in holland, belgium, france, norway, denmark, 2 in germany, poland, 2 in russia. Dude, wtf are you talking about?
              You sound mad dumb..

      2. I’ve been following MGK since 2009 and I have a ton of respect for him, what he came fro. I’m also a Stan though. Being realistic, Binge was mumble rap trash. I’d put it at the top of the list of worst projects of 2018.

BUT I will agree with the rest of what you said. A lot of his other music is great. Some of his best work is on his Lace Up, General Admission albums. He can rap when he wants to.. He just has to stay away from the pop & bloom type of music and he’s great.

Eminem beef aside, based on the short snippet he posted I’m actually ok with the way it sounds and I’m looking forward to album 4 and a potential concert if one of the 3 TBA shows are near me.

    2. Hotel Diablo has got to be one of the wackest album names ever. Almost as bad as when Tyga called his album Hotel California.

    3. I don’t care what you say, MGK is overall wack, he has a good track once in a wild.
His voice is so annoying and looking at his face just make me want to slap the shit out of him.
He’s coming to Denmark so maybe that’ll be a reality.

Hotel Diablo probably includes a diss for Eminem.

      F KELLY.

      1. I dislike MGK, but that’s very false to say, considering MGK had songs with hundreds of millions of views long before the beef. But yes, Stans do follow MGK articles and such now, which definitely helps grow MGKs numbers.

        1. Na first time a lot of hiphop fans like me ever gave him chance was because of that so called beef. And I’m not even a Eminem fan

      2. No MGK put that work in and made hot ass music. If you want to talk semantics, NWA and Bone Thugs made Em and MGK relevant. If you gon talk facts know the ledge…..

    4. Oh my God. I come here to see the dates of this tour and I still see people talkin about Eminem. THE BEEF IS OVER. Em fans, go do what you do and post on things that are Eminem related. Ya’ll are fr acting like petty 6 year olds who have nothing better to do except stick their noses into things that don’t even interest them. I like Eminem’s music and I like MGK’s music. Period. Some of ya’ll are basing MGK’s talent off of Binge, which wasn’t his best. Can we all just move on with our lives already? Thank you.

      1. Damn- another Middle Schooler going up to bat for WGK. That dude is, was, and always will be a garbage musician.

          1. And how did he get bodied? Did you actually listen to the the diss songs …. MGK torched Em …. go through the verses line for line … Em spits generic ass shit but Kamikaze is straight fire … Binge … 2 good songs … 3 at best

            1. You’re joking right? You need to read about the culture dude. Rap Devil was INCREDIBLY weak. He had the same corny lines. Seriously, do you think MGK torched Eminem with the line ” Your beard is weird” or “Homie we get it, we know that you’re the greatest rapper alive” or “Yeah, I’ll acknowledge you’re the G.O.A.T”? Which line torched EM exactly? Because from the lyrics it’s sounds like he’s a dude in high school writing an angry love letter to a girl that rejected him.

Now, if you actually listened to Killshot, you would know that Em buried him w/in 30 seconds by answering everything he wrote in Rap Devil. But it seems like you’re too stupid to understand lyricism. Also another thing, you don’t use Autotune for diss records. Only silly little idiots who think they know how to beef do that. If you think Rap Devil was good, then clean out your ears or go back to school and get an education.

      1. He was just performing Rap Devil in Detroit a few months ago, they loved him out there. You you’re wrong

    5. MGK on a roll smash box office hit with Birdbox and now Motley Crew biopic, a world tour!!! Meanwhile Eminem mad bc someone said his grown ass daughter is pretty…Am I missing something? Aye I’m not an Em groupie or a hater so I’ma congratulate and choose not to hate… In 2019 let’s change some things in memory of Nippsey… Rest in Paradise…

      1. Some one get this dick rider off a keyboard. Em doesn’t give to shits about this dudes weak ass performance in a movie or his tour. He makes his own money doing his thing. Y’all just make this shit up to cry online… y’all sad as hell

    6. I honestly fucking love your music Kelly! It gives of such a good mode in all of them and I can relate to most songs. Glad your riding through all the hate from others
      EST for life!

    7. I don’t listen to MGK, but I just came to see all of the Eminem stans talking crap lol. I love Eminems old musi, and think he is certainly one of the best to pick up the mic. But STANS ruin him for me. You can’t listen to an Eminem song on YouTube without stans going off hard about their hard on for Eminem. Like, his freaking stans claim his album Kamikaze is just as good as his old music, just different. They call it progression. Bullshit man, nobody can convince me any song on Eminems past few albums can touch Stan, Lose Yourself, Hallies Song, ect… Again, I love Eminems older work, but STANS are gay as fuck, and kind of ruin Eminem for me. I don’t care for MGK, and saw him live in Quebec… And his live show is terrible lol.

      1. Bruh I’ve been a fan of Em since Infinite, and the only songs of his that I can’t listen to are Stan, Fack, and Walk On Water (and not because of the beautiful and talented Beyoncé) and Stan (which to me is hot ass garbage). Kamikaze is dope, and so was Recovery. Royce is the GOAT and Em is definitely in my top ten, but people need to quit throwing that Stan shit around like it counts. Fans are gonna be loyal or they’re not fans…

        1. So, here’s the thing. While you think Stan is garbage, it’s actually not. During that time, the song was a cultural phenomenon due to the subject matter and his level of fame. Also, the Webster’s dictionary added “Stan” to the dictionary. That itself is incredible. After Stan came out, there were numerous artists (lil wayne for example) that tried to come out w/ their own version of Stan and failed. While you think it’s garbage, a lot of others don’t. I, myself, don’t really like the song thattt much where it would still get airplay for me. In my opinion, The Way I Am could be one of his best songs he’s ever written and produced. The flow in that song is undeniable.

      2. You talking about how much Em Stan’s bother you.. yet that’s the reason you “came to see” in the comments!? That’s some pathetic ass shit

    8. I really liked a lot of songs on Bloom, and loved “Rap Devil” and “Lately” off the recent EP, so we’ll see if he’s able to continue that hot streak, or if he rushed this album out

      1. If by help strengthen his career with a fake diss track, solely used as publicity, with deals with interscope records and others to bank on it, then sure. It’s purely money. It’s the most bogus “beef” ever, and the fact Eminem did that just shows how low Eminem has gone over time. He used to be far too good to give someone like MGK the time of day. But now, Eminem is obsessed with negativity.

        1. SO many fake fuck know it all fans. Eminem used to give time all the time for beef…. Ja Rule, Benzino, Cannabis bitch… M.Carey… Nick Cannon…I could go on n on. He has ALWAYS done this wake the fuck up and stop spreading lies you little negative cancerous toxic fuck

    9. I came here to watch all the white losers fighting each other. I was not dissapointed lmao too much damn mayonaisse on this website.

      1. I beg to differ! My skin color is less like mayonnaise, more like bread! Get it straight, my poopy looking friend! Haha, just messing with you of course.

    10. Huge Eminem fan and think mgks last few tracks have been great. Guess what, you can like them both.

        1. Yeah you can. I don’t like either in 2019, used to love Eminems music from 1998 to 2005 or so. But not my thing anymore. With that said, I like Ja Rule, and 50 cent. That was an actual beef. I still like the music tho

      1. Lincoln said if he could win the war without abolishing slavery, he would have lol. Lincoln was WAYYYY more racist than any modern politician…

    11. Tell me again why a person taste in music matters enough to spew hate? Tell me again why Em’s or MGK’s race matters? I mean you can’t hate on someone because of their race … then scream for equality … little hypocritical don’t ya think

    12. This MGK bit so many parts to so many different songs. Not original at all. Plus biting eminems Dracula wordplay, weak. BUT, he has some rap flows that step nicely with the beats. Dont like MGK but give this album a 6-10. Better than that Binge garbage he put out.

    13. NO true hip hop head can respect this trash act.

We need to steer away from nonsense pop acts like this and promote real hip hop. This is the sort of nonsense the kids be listening to.
