Hip Hop Week In Review: Eminem Vs. Nick Cannon Continues With More Diss Tracks

This week in Hip Hop, Nick Cannon released a second diss track for Eminem titled “Canceled: Invitation” while declaring victory in their rap beef. Also, Nia Long had photoshoot paying homage to Nas and lastly, Machine Gun Kelly confronted No Jumper’s Adam22 at Rolling Loud over favoring Eminem in their battle.

Nick Cannon Won’t Stop Eminem Feud

After declaring victory in the Eminem “battle,” Nick Cannon released another diss record, “Canceled: Invitation” and played his previous diss “The Invitation” 20 times for the Wild ‘N Out audience this week. He also extended an invite to 50 Cent to come on Wild ‘N Out after the G-Unit founder came to Em’s defense.

Former Shady Records artist Obie Trice also had his old boss’ back, dropping another diss record to defend Em. However, Slim Shady himself opted for reciting Hieroglyphics lyrics instead of responding to Cannon.

    Nia Long Reps Nas

Earlier this week, Nia Long caught Nas’ attention when she donned a crewneck with his 2007 XXL cover on it.

The veteran actress posted several posts rocking the top, amassing hundreds of thousands of likes and comments.

“U da illest!” Nas replied underneath one pic.

Machine Gun Kelly Still Mad At Adam22

In the case of Machine Gun Kelly versus Eminem, No Jumper‘s Adam22 thought Slim Shady won the battle. Apparently, MGK is still not happy about it.

While backstage at Rolling Loud Los Angeles, Adam attempted to call MGK over for an interview but instead, the Ohio-bred rapper greeted him by slapping Adam’s mic.

“Was he trying to give me a handshake or something?” Adam asked. “That was unique. That was wild.”

Future Links With Various Artists For ‘1800 Seconds Volume 2’

Future‘s partnership with 1800 Tequila led to a compilation project titled 1800 Seconds Volume 2 filled with artists the liquor brand hand-picked themselves. Speaking to DX, Future detailed his role in the process.

“The process for me, it basically just took a day for me,” he said. “For them, it took more than a day…Three weeks for them to just put everything together because we had to go and listen to the music.”

Bizarre Talks Eminem Vs. Nick Cannon & Generational Pill Popping

DX also caught up with Bizarre, who gave his thoughts on Nick Cannon and Eminem’s beef. He noted it’s become “corny” while maintaining his support for Slim Shady.

“Marshall’s my friend and we’re damn near like a gang, so when I see people talking shit about him, I always go into defense mode,” he said. “That’s my brother. When the first Nick Cannon diss came out, I thought it was funny. I’m cool with Charlie Clips and Hitman Holla — I’m cool with all them cats.”

    1. Nick cannons bout lame and stupid af..how in the world does he think he could EVER in his life come close to the raw real emcee skill of one of the greatest to ever do it…regardless of him being white or not…! Wtf this dude is high as hell

    2. MGKaKa got ⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚱️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️⚰️ murdered/bodied By Em??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️ clOsed caskeT!

    3. Give it up Nick. You’re starting to look like the jilted ex that’s desperate to get back what he lost. No one is even checking for Mariah anymore. I cant understand why it bothers you now. 3 diss songs and only half a response. You are starting to look like the little boy that only wants some attention. Attention is like money, all of it ain’t good.

    4. Y’all are behind on the Nick and Em thing. Invitation: Canceled has been the third of four pathetic diss tracks Cannon has dropped. He’s also tried to bait 50 and a couple others onto his show to “settle things”. All this shit is just Nick struggling to be relevant again by getting someone people know to appear on his show.

    5. A year ago Em came with a super weak track with a few somewhat decent lines and his stans claimed he won, even though MGK’s track went way harder and had much better diss strength behind it (calling out Em for trying to blackball him in the industry for years was much stronger than Em saying “id rather be 80 year old me than 20 year old you”). Proving that the pathology of his stans elicits such a ridiculously predictable group think that pretty much refuses to ever admit that he’s capable of sucking sometimes. Not saying he can’t handle Nick Cannon easily, but he hasn’t even responded yet and they’re already declaring him the winner. It’s very annoying.

        1. I said that same inner scope line in 2013 his diss was weak with that line
The kid is no rap devil just another puppet who sold his soul he’s no one favorite rapper face it “if it wasn’t for em machine gun wouldn’t exist “

    6. Bruh just hang it up and keep doing your TV show em just to raw and will make you look like a clown your a good actor and got a lot going on but keep messing with em and you will lose what respect you have cause in my eyes you a cannon but em a nuke you do the math

    7. Dumb, on both parties.. We have children’s on the streets can’t get a meal to eat.. But, both y’all kids are living very good smh.. Y’all, should think about it and plus only one of you can do the real dis and the other is good on doing the production including bringing new ideas…You two are too old doing dissing tracks..

    8. This whole beef is CORNY and just cements EM for always going AT SOFT WACK TARGETS.
SUPER WACK !!! They playing with HipHop now….R.I.P
