HipHopDX recently tapped in with the Grammy Award-winning Future at Chalice Recording Studios in Hollywood to hear the project ahead of its release just to find out what all went into making it.
“It was a collaboration with 1800 so I had a team. When you have a team it just makes things easy so it wasn’t all me,” Future told DX.
The 1800 Tequila team picked out seven artists from across the nation giving an opportunity to New York’s own Aurora Anthony, Memphis native Herion Young, Cincinnati-bred Juiicy2xS, Philly’s Lihtz, Seddy Hendrinx of Jacksonville, Florida, L.A.’s Shaun Sloan and Test of Baltimore to be heard by potentially hundreds of thousands of listeners.
Being that Future is one of the hardest working musicians in the game, he explained how long the actual process took – which wasn’t as long as one would expect.
“The process for me, it basically just took a day for me. For them, it took more than a day…Three weeks for them to just put everything together because we had to go and listen to the music,” Super Future further revealed. “Me being in there with the artist it was really like two days. We just had to prep for a day and another day we was working and was just listening. So it was just like two full days or a 24 hour day.”
