Rap Release Dates: French Montana, Odd Future, Nas, Nicki Minaj

In three days March will be here, and in just a few short weeks, we’ll be having Spring Fever. While Hip Hop enjoyed a mild hibernation this winter, with February coming to an end, it looks like the hustle has started once again. Today brings a whole slew of new albums to choose, whether swimming the mainstream or sticking to the underground. Kid Cudi of course brings his Dot Da Genius collaboration project W Z R D, along with Maino’s Day After Tomorrow (read the review here), Ja Rule’s Pain Is Love 2, Chiddy Bang’s Breakfast and many many others. Chiddy and Xaphoon dropped off a bonus “Zeros” that wasn’t found on the album.

As Alchemist’s Rappers Best Friend 2 is coming, so are the instrumental leaks, like the one Mobb Deep used, “Whole Lotta Thug.” Alchemist also showed up on two tracks off Hodgy Beats of Odd Future’s recently released EP, “In a Dream” and “Cookie Coma.” Speaking of Odd Future, with Earl Sweatshirt out and a new album coming, things are still looking up for the collective. In other collective news, YMCMB’s prom queen Nicki Minaj released another track off April 3rd’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The title track (“Roman Reloaded” ) featured her bossman Lil Wayne. In other boss news, Nas has completed his tenth studio album. While Life Is Good is still the working title, who knows what it will be called or when it will be coming. Just know that it’s done and the leaks should be starting any minute now.

Finally, Rick Ross announced that French Montana’s album Excuse My French will be dropping on July 17th. Isn’t it supposed to be “pardon my French?” Either way, the summer is already looking promising.

    1. DX you suck. Why put Nas in “release dates” and then just say its coming out. DATES you put DATES in the title assholes.

      1. Co- Sign The only reason I checked this shit was for the nas release date so I can cop the shit.

        That is false advertisement.

    2. Thanks for the nice information!!

      p.s.
      Are you targeting Japanese market?

    3. Nas is not done. Far from it. They be lying over there to create artificial buzz. If he was “done” he would have a date. These days you get release dates before you finish. Its a “target” to complete your album 1.5 months previous to this date. If he has no date, he is still working. Def Jam don’t let anyone be done until it’s approved.

      1. I guess ignorance is bliss. Nas made a post on twitter a few days ago stating he just wrapped up da album. HHDX is actually correct in this article homie. #ESCOBAR SEASON HAS RETURNED

    4. I agree. Why no Slaughterhouse? And Chamillionaire is coming to take the throne on March 20th. Y’all hate real lyricists or what?

    5. “Just know that it’s done and the leaks should be starting any minute now.”

Hahahaha yall niggas in fantasy land, Nas is on the run from the IRS…

    6. Aw yea 2012 looking good. Bumpy knuckles, obie trice, alchemist, oh no, planet Asia, mayday, Apollo brown and o.c. and nas is done with his shit shit is looking real good. Hope ymcmb has some luck with limp bizkit lol. It’s over for them young money niggas.
