Atlanta, GA

Quality Control recording artist Lil Yachty and Wild ‘N Out‘s DC Young Fly are blowing big smoke in the trailer for How High 2, the sequel to 2001’s How High that starred Method Man as Silas P. Silas and Redman as Jamal King.

In the original How High, Meth and Red galvanized as two stoner homies making it into the prestigious Harvard University after discovering some magical weed. Consequently, it’s become a classic staple among cannabis connoisseurs.

For the sequel, Yachty and DC find a “weed bible” and end up growing a supernatural marijuana plant that eventually gets stolen. To locate the plant, Yachty and DC go on an adventure to get it back

Deray Davis is also featured in the MTV flick along with Mike Epps who is making his return as Baby Powder. The Real Housewives ofAtlanta’s NeNe Leakes and buzzing rap star Lil Baby also make an appearance.

Unfortunately, no Meth or Red.

In 2017, HipHopDX reported the long-awaited How High sequel was in the works with Method and Redman to return along with it. A year later, it was announced the duo would not be part of the project and Yachty was named as a star lead.

Meth and Red were reportedly blindsided by the news but are in full support of both Yachty and DC.

“Yachty and DC have nothing to do with it,” Redman told The Grass Routes Podcast last year. “It was just all business. I look at it like this man — when one door closes, another one opens and that just leaves room for [me] and Meth to do a whole new movie.”

The film is slated to debut on every weed smoker’s favorite day, April 20.
