This week in Hip Hop, Ja Rule and 50 Cent’s feud reared its ugly head once again. Also, Migos member Offset upset some listeners with his verse on YFN Lucci’s latest single that claimed he doesn’t “vibe with queers.” Kanye West and Kim Kardashian also revealed the name of their third child.
Ja Rule & 50 Cent Are Beefing Again
50 Cent went on Big Boy’s Neighborhood and said if he saw Ja Rule in 2018, he’d put his paws on his old rival. As the interview made its rounds on social media, Ja didn’t hold his tongue over their nearly 15 year-old beef.
“Fun hip hop FACT, @50cent is PUSSY,” Ja tweeted.

The only response Ja got from 50 was an Instagram post that was eventually deleted.

Offset Raps He “Cannot Vibe With Queers” & Controversy Ensues
Offset was promptly called out for his homophobic lyrics on the YFN Lucci track “Boss Life,” this week. “I cannot vibe with queers/ I got the heart of a bear/ Bustin’ them down by the pair/ Patek Philippe, it’s rare,” he rapped.

After a flurry of backlash, Offset offered an apology and claims he wasn’t aiming his lyrics towards the LGBTQ community. “I apologize to anybody I offended by the word ‘queer,’ I was not referring to sexuality,” the Migos rapper wrote.
As Offset deals with the controversy surrounding his lyrics, Migos did announce that Culture II — one of HipHopDX’s Most Anticipated Rap Albums of 2018 — has a January 26 released date. The Pharrell-produced “Stir Fry” and “Motor Sport” featuring Nicki Minaj and Cardi B (whose name Offset got tatted on his neck) are expected to appearo on the LP.

Kanye and Kim Welcome Chicago West
On January 15, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian welcomed a baby girl into their family and her name is Chicago West. She is the couple’s third child, joining her siblings North and Saint.
