HIPHOPDX – This week in Hip Hop, Young Thug was online begging for his fianceé back amid cheating rumors. Rittz released his last album with Strange Music, Last Call, and stopped by HipHopDX offices in Hollywood to talk about it.
Also, Chance The Rapper, Rick Ross, Vic Mensa and Russell Simmons — among other Hip Hop notables — shared their condolences to the people who lost their lives during a shooting at the Las Vegas Route 91 Harvest country music festival.
Young Thug Deals With Cheating Rumors
Young Thug reportedly got caught cheating on his fianceé Jerricka Karlae with her friend, but he insists that it wasn’t him. He posted a denial and begged for a second chance on social media before flexing on viewers with his Balenciaga sneakers mid-apology.
Just to make things clear, Karlae tweeted that she’s on the market, indicating that Thugger’s apologies have fallen on deaf ears. The Atlanta rapper doesn’t seem to be taking it well.
“What market??” he responded in a quoted retweet. “Bitch u goin die OnGod.”

Rittz Ends Run With Strange Music
Although Last Call is Rittz’s final album with Strange Music, the southern lyricist clarified that all is well between him and the label.
“[Last Call is] my last album contractually with Strange Music, but everything’s good with Strange,” Rittz told DX. “I signed a four-album contract with Strange and my contract is up, so it’s time to figure out what to do next. Everything’s good though. Business doesn’t stop running with Strange. We had a great conversation with Travis, with Tech.”
Last Call earned a 3.9 rating from HipHopDX, which described it as “a strong collection of soul-baring tunes from a rapper who is truly passionate about his life’s work.”

DXClusives: Trippie Redd & Audio Push’s Price
Trippie Redd Details XXXTENTACION Friendship & Announces Lil Wayne Collab
Trippie Redd had a show at Hollywood’s Roxy Theater on Wednesday (October 3), and Shirley Ju was able to catch up with the “Love Scars” artist before his performance. The 18-year-old from Canton, Ohio has gained a lot of traction with his music, which can’t really be boxed into a single genre. He describes it as a mix of R&B, Hip Hop and Rock.
“It’s mostly alternative rock, R&B, Hip Hop, all types of shit just put together,” he says. “I really just like…It’s my own subgenre. You can’t really put a name to it. I’m just versatile. I do everything.”
When asked about his controversial friend XXXTENTACION, he calls the polarizing artist his brother.
“I’m 100 percent down,” Trippie asserts. “I support everything he do. That’s my brother [laughs]. Ain’t nothin’ to say about it. I fuck with everything he do.”

Audio Push’s Price Makes His Case For Working With Bhad Bhabie
Audio Push member Price helped pen Bhad Bhabie’s popular single “These Heaux” and explained to DX’s Kyle Eustice why he decided to help co-write the 14-year-old rapper’s music knowing it might cause some backlash.
“In this day and age, I’ve already swallowed the pill that it’s not about talent anymore,” Price says. “As much as I want to be known as one of the most talented artists, knowing the group I’m in is Top 5 duos of all time, knowing that does not change the fact that Bhad Bhabie has 10 million followers and we [Audio Push] don’t. There are plenty of people with more followers than her that don’t do anything. The dope thing about Bhad Bhabie and the reason I fucked with it is because it’s all true. That’s the key I have to make clear. This isn’t a sale or me just saying it to say. I don’t have any ties with her, so I don’t have to big her up. That little girl is so real, it’s not even funny.”
