Kanye West’s last album isn’t dead just yet. The Grammy award winning College Dropout still has much life left in it and Kanye plans to use every minute of it. Which would explain why he is just now completing a video for “Spaceship”.
The video will feature Kanye going back in time to when he was holding down a minimum-wage job at his local mall and how he had dreams to get to where he is today. The video begins in a mall parking lot, where a man lies unconscious on the ground. From there the treatment for the video calls for a flashback when another man (Kanye) arrives for work and punches in his time card a little late. From there the video displays the working man’s sour relationship with his boss and co-workers as he yearns to get away from it all.
During a break from his lowly job, West sees an ad with a scientist and rocket ship on its cover and gives the number a call. After Kanye is shorted on his paycheck he angrily takes his frustrations out on the store and runs out, with manager in pursuit. But just as he gets outside the mall, the rocket ship in the ad is there to take him away from his problems. The unconscious man at the beginning of the video is revealed as West’s manager and just as he is helped up GLC and Consequence— who appeared earlier as a co-worker and a customer — can only smile at the events.
Look for the video to hit soon.
