Lil Baby confirmed on Twitter on Monday (February 21) that both new music and a new album are nearing completion, even while his blockbuster sophomore effort My Turn remains comfortably on the Billboard 200.

“Album Almost Done,” Baby tweeted out. “New Music Otw Tho.”

The announcement came after Baby retweeted a post from Chart Data which confirmed Baby’s My Turn had spent 100 total weeks on the Billboard 200. Not only that, the album has “never left the top 100 and still ranks” in the “top 20.”

Lil Baby’s monstrous 2020 album My Turn dropped on February 28 and immediately shot to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 its debut week. The project went double platinum before the year was up, reportedly raking in over $19 million in the process, all while Baby made off with HipHopDX’s Rapper of the Year award.

The album featured appearances from Gunna, 42 Dugg, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, Moneybagg Yo and Rylo Rodriguez and was supported by the singles “Woah,” “Sum 2 Prove,” “Emotionally Scarred,” “All In” and the Grammy Award-nominated track “The Bigger Picture,” which was eventually crowned HipHopDX’s Hip Hop Song of the year.

Aside from working on new music, the Atlanta rapper has also been hitting the studio with Nicki Minaj, collabing on her first new batch of tunes since 2018. Baby lent his talents to “Bussin” and “Do We Have a Problem?” and Nicki even said Baby bodied her on the former.
