Busta Rhymes is one of Hip Hop’s greatest ever performers. Even at 49 years old, his signature Dungeon Dragon energy burns as bright as ever, as proved during his show-stealing medley at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards in September.

But Bus-a-Bus doesn’t need pyrotechnics and a packed arena to put on a show. One might find the New York rap legend kicking back and enjoying a friend’s birthday dinner and he’ll still be prepared to bust one of his trademark tongue-twisting raps.

That’s exactly what happened on Sunday night (January 2) as Busta Rhymes was at Papi Steak restaurant in Miami, Florida celebrating his friend International Special’s born day when “Look At Me Now” — his 2011 collaboration with Chris Brown and Lil Wayne — started playing through the speakers.

Never one to pass up an opportunity to entertain the crowd, Busta performed his rapid-fire verse while barely missing a beat, much to the delight of the whole table.

Released in February 2011 from Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E. album, “Look At Me Now” debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since soared to 8x platinum status. The song was nominated for both Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards.

“Look At Me Now” remains one of Busta Rhymes’ most iconic performances and is one of many reasons why he’s such a feared Verzuz opponent. Fat Joe recently claimed “everybody” (including himself) is scared of facing the Flipmode Squad MC in a Verzuz battle, while Lil Jon believes Busta could “smoke” JAY-Z in the ring.

According to Verzuz co-founder Swizz Beatz, Busta told him five different rappers have turned him down (although he didn’t name names).
