Eminem hit social media on Wednesday (March 28) to release a trailer for the music video to “Framed.” It serves as the third cut off his Revival album to get the official video treatment after “Walk On Water” and “River.”
The 30-second teaser features a journalist — aptly titled Stan Dresden (a likely nod to Em’s “biggest fan” and the street name where Em grew up) — reporting from outside a house that is the scene of an apparent homicide. Eminem is later spotted sitting on a couch inside the home scribbling away at a notepad while surrounded by blood and bodies.
“Framed” garnered the attention of fans and commentators alike for featuring violent and controversial lyrics akin to some of Eminem’s early work. The track also made headlines for Slim Shady’s reference to having Ivanka Trump stuffed in the trunk of his car.
“Woke up, it was dawn, musta knew somethin’ was wrong/ Think I’m becomin’ a monster ‘cause of the drugs that I’m on/ Donald Duck’s on, there’s a Tonka Truck in the yard/ But dog, how the fuck is Ivanka Trump in the trunk of my car?”

In his review of Revival, DX’s Editor-in-Chief Trent Clark made specific reference to the track.
“On the hypnotically-produced ‘Framed,’ Marshall dons the hockey mask for old times sake and pulls up off homicidal fantasies that for better or worse, feature the album’s most in-pocket rhyme moment.”
