Kendrick Lamar’s big GRAMMYs night has just been marred in tragedy as his good friend and labelmate, Jay Rock is currently hospitalized following a motorcycle accident.

TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith broke the shocking news that his artist had been severely injured shortly before the winner for Album of the Year was announced.

“Pray 4 @jayrock he had a bad accident on his motorcycle.. He’s hurt pretty bad… #TDE,” he tweeted. After speculation ran rampant regarding the rap star’s condition, Tiffith released another accident that lessened the worry–to an extent.

“[Jay Rock] is not in a coma or near death…a lot of broken bones…,” he continued.

The Watts, California native has been with the label for nearly a decade and released his last album in 90059 last September.
