Diddy‘s legal battle with Lil Rod has taken yet another twist as multiple charges in the producer’s lawsuit have been dismissed.

Last year, Rod (real name Rodney Jones) made a number of allegations against the Bad Boy boss including sexual assault, sex trafficking, drugging and attempting to groom him into having gay sex.

Diddy filed a motion last August to dismiss the suit and while the lawsuit as a whole has not been dismissed, the judge overseeing the case has agreed to strike down certain claims.

In an order filed on Monday (March 24), Judge J. Paul Oetken dismissed the civil racketeering and breach of contract claims, ruling that the lawsuit failed to prove Lil Rod had been harmed by a violation of the RICO Act.

The judge further declared that non-payment for Rod’s work on Diddy’s The Love Album: Off the Grid did not count because it did not have any connection to any potential racketeering activity.

Rod’s claims of negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of contract, and violation of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) against Diddy’s company Combs Global were also dismissed.

However, the TVPA claims against Puffy and his chief of staff, Kristina Khorram Khorram, were granted.

Rod’s claims of sex trafficking, sexual assault and premises liability were also given the green light, meaning the lawsuit will proceed in a slimmed-down form.

In his 31-page ruling, Judge Oetken also blasted Lil Rod’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, saying his filings were “replete with inaccurate statements of law, conclusory accusations, and inappropriate ad hominem attacks on opposing counsel.”

Further misconduct by Blackburn may result in sanctions or disciplinary action being taken.

In a statement to Rolling Stone, Blackburn said: “A win is a win. Play time is over. Now, it is time for discovery.”

Diddy and his legal team have yet to respond to the developments but he previously denied Lil Rod’s allegations, as well as those made by a growing number of plaintiffs.

The disgraced mogul has been behind bars since September 2024 on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, stemming mostly from his alleged “freak offs” and conduct during his decade-long relationship with Cassie.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges and will stand trial next month.
