In “Vince Staples Critiques 20 Years of GQ Men of the Year,” the Long Beach, California rapper evaluates several of GQ’s cover subjects from the last two decades.

Michael Jordan’s such a scumbag,” Vince Staples says of GQ’s 1998 Man Of The Year. “I love ‘em. Michael Jordan and Donald Trump are the same kind of person. Michael Jordan, Donald Trump, they are the epitome of bad people in America becoming successful.”

Glasses Malone recently blasted Jordan for investing in prisons. Presidential candidate Donald Trump has been criticized by Common and others given the comments he made about Mexican immigrants, among other things.

In another evaluation, Vince Staples laments the evolution of one of his favorite rapper’s career.

“When I see an image of Ja Rule next to a burning car,” Vince Staples says, “it just signifies what 50 Cent did to one of my favorite rappers and it just hurts my heart.”
