Say what you want about 50 Cent and all of his beef. The man still managed to convince 1.1 million people to buy The Massacre in just 5 days. This makes it the second best opening week in hip-hop history, eclipsing his own Get Rich Or Die Trying but still behind Eminem who pushed 1.7 million copies of The Marshall Mathers LP back in 2000.

The Massacre did just that… “massacre” the competion. J-Lo’s Rebirth would have been number one this week but it fell almost 1 million copies short of 50’s sophomore album at 261,000. Former B2K crooner, Omarion, had a short life at number one and fell all the way down to number 8 this week with his solo debut O.

So all of the hoopla that ended Tuesday may or may not have assisted 50 in moving all of those units. Game, on the other hand, fell to 5th on the charts with 100,000 copies sold of his breakout debut The Documentary.
