Problems still continue to arise for the Murder Inc. family as Ja Rule’s manager is arrested. Ron “Gutta” Robinson was arrested and arraigned on money laundering charges in the ongoing federal investigation against the record label. Robinson was accused of conspiring with other as yet unnamed people who laundered more than one million dollars between 1997 and 2002.
The indictment says he allegedly “knew and believe that some of the laundered funds were the proceeds of a controlled substance”. Robinson was released after posting $500,000 bond. His attorney Stacey Richman has said her client will plead no contest to the charges against him. Last week an accountant for the label was also arrested for allegedly money laundering. Federal prosecutors are still probing the record label because they believe there are definite ties to well known drug dealers. No comment was given from Jam Rule. The Inc. as its now called is re entering the music game with new releases from Ja Rule, Lloyd and Ashanti.
