Suge Knight has hit back at Snoop Dogg amid their latest back and forth, blaming his former artist for what he says is the destruction of Death Row Records’ legacy.

Last month, the Death Row co-founder alleged in an interview that Snoop was involved in trying to secure accused 2Pac killer Keefe D’s release from jail. He also linked his former artist to the sex trafficking claims against Diddy and accused him of lying about visiting 2Pac in the hospital shortly before his death.

Snoop then hit back in an Instagram comment, saying “This n-gga [won’t] stop talking about me mad cuz I own Death Row, I realize your real lies.”

Now in a new conversation with The Art of Dialogue published on Sunday (March 9), Suge is firing back once again.

“Snoop, you said I’m mad because you bought Death Row? What’d you buy? Show me the paperwork. Show me what you own,” he said.

He then went into detail about how Snoop’s Doggystyle label didn’t take off, then added: “And you was running Def Jam. Did you do anything good for Def Jam? Absolutely not. Now you wanna start something that has nothing to do with you. You going backwards. You tryna create something that Suge Knight created. But instead of going big, you disappointing the world by making everything flops.”

He continued: “We should be trying to figure out how to make Hip Hop better. Everybody destroying Hip Hop – you guys are making it worse. If you have Death Row, you destroyed it. You messed up the name.”

Suge Knight has previously taken issue with Snoop Dogg’s ownership of Death Row Records, accusing him of fraudulently purchasing the legendary rap label.

Speaking to TMZ from prison after the deal was announced in 2022, Suge claimed that his ex-business partner Michael “Harry-O” Harris committed bankruptcy fraud to get the company from him.

Knight then claimed that Snoop was only able to acquire the label due to it being forfeited when a lawyer failed to attend court, with a default judgement in 2013 transferring it into the possession of MNRK Music Group.

Suge said the bankruptcy proceeding was a violation of the law, and that Death Row will never truly be the same without him in charge.

“Snoop has a partner, which is Michael Harris. They committed fraud, they bankruptcy fraud. I didn’t lose my company by doing anything wrong; they went in and the lawyer didn’t show up, and they got a default judgement,” he said.

“I settled the judgement. They turned around and said I didn’t settle the judgement. But they committed bankruptcy fraud which we just found out for sure last week. When they filed for bankruptcy in ’95, they said it didn’t have anything to do with Death Row.”

“You can’t commit bankruptcy fraud and settle and do those type of things,” he added. “It’s illegal, it’s a crime. You can’t take the person who committed the worst crime of the century, taking Death Row from Black people and try to give it to white people, and think he gonna grab Snoop and they gonna get it back. It doesn’t work like that.”
