LL Cool J had a unique perspective on the situation. The veteran emcee trained with Navy SEAL agents and other armed forces members in preparation for his role as Special Agent Sam Hanna on the CBS drama “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
“I’d just like to commend those SEALs for going in and doing a terrific job and service for our country,” LL said in regards to the killing of Bin Laded during a visit to “The View” on Monday. “I think that was amazing.”
LL said his training included everything from practicing at the gun range to studying with behavioral analysts and interrogation specialists.
“I went down to Camp Pendleton and met with some special ops guys,” LL revealed. “I got a chance to really sit down and talk to them about what it means to put your life on the line everyday. They consider putting their lives on the line like breaking a fingernail…it’s amazing.”
LL has been acting for over 16 years now, and he says his main goal when portraying a member of the armed forces is to properly represent them when bringing the character to life.
“They really are the true heroes,” Cool J added. “I think that’s so important for our country and for the world.”
