Migos and its follow-up to 2017’s Culture — the aptly titled Culture II — has dominated the Billboard 200 chart for the week ending February 1. Following closely behind is Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic, which saw a huge boost in sales after the Honolulu-born pop/R&B singer walked away with six Grammy Awards last Sunday (January 28).
Elsewhere on the chart, Rhymesayers MC Evidence and his new project Weather Or Not makes its modest debut on the chart at #187, and Eminem’s Revival drops to #16.
Ridin’ High
Migos released its highly anticipated album Culture II last Friday (January 26) and the project has entered the Billboard 200 chart at #1. Boasting 199,467 total album equivalent units sold (38,486 in pure sales and a streaming count of 224,593,278), the 24-song project marks the Atlanta trio’s second #1 debut.
The original Culture debuted at #1 in 2017 with 131,193 equivalent album sales and was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2018 Grammy Awards.
Offset, Takeoff and Quavo recently announced they’ll be the musical guests on the March 3 episode of Saturday Night Live where they will join host Charles Barkley.

Bruno Mars Takes Big Leap
Following Bruno Mars’ epic Grammy Awards sweep on Sunday (January 28), his latest album, 24K Magic, got an 89 percent bump in sales. With 48,764 total album equivalent units (21,690 in pure album sales and a streaming count of 27,411,491), it was enough to take the project from #10 to #4.
24K Magic, which debuted at #2 in 2016, serves as Mars’ third studio album. His sophomore album, 2012’s Unorthodox Jukebox, also debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 upon its release.

Weather Or Not Makes Mild Debut
With just 4,602 total album equivalent units (1,219 in pure album sales and a streaming count of 788,079), Evidence’s Weather Or Not squeezed its way onto the charts at #187. The album marks the Rhymesayers MC’s first full-length solo LP since 2011’s Cats & Dogs.
Evidence rose to notoriety as a member of Dilated Peoples and has worked with (and for) a bevy of notable MCs and producers, including Alchemist, DJ Premier and Kanye West.

I had to boycott the migos because they are a bunch of homophobes.
Who cares if you boycott! You’re not needed and if you hating then swallow it and go kiss an electric cable fool!
Kiss an electric cable? Damn you sound almost as wack as Migos trash ass album.. but I couldn’t expect something clever or original from a fan of such garbage ass rappers. Enjoy you “music” simp.
I’m addition….suck an HIV d**k you sh*t stabber!
You are disgusting and I am reporting you for hate speech.
KNOW YOUR FACTS
Amen.
look how well your boycott did.
#1 selling record now LOL
Trump supporters love to endorse bigotry.
Except “Narcos” and “Stir Fly”, Culture II is wack ASF.
Migos runnin the game. Told you once I told ya twice, it’s a good album. The real G knows when he hears it.
34k album sales ha ha hahaha ha. Another millennial driven group who had a hit or 2. Ride the wave 15 min be up this time next year. Mumble chimp rap
You definitely ain’t no “Real G” fam.. bumping Migos like a straight female. Hahahaha. You don’t know good music.. I bet you’d enjoy if Migos straight took turns farting in your ear if you really enjoyed that album.
The album was terrible, but I guess you do got send them big ups for be only the 5th rap group to have more that one #1 albums, the other groups are Beastie Boys, Bone Thugs N Harmony, A Tribe called quest, D 12 . I will say Migos are cool kids but not even close to those other groups mentioned.
I seriously doubt Migos really hit #1 straight up. These dudes are ass compared to the other groups you mentioned..
so lets get this straight #Eminem’s worst album outsold the group of the moment and did the same numbas as Jay Z big 4:44 comeback..fell off? my ass #SlimStaysWinnin
He isn’t “winning.” His name is being diminished. 90% of people don’t think of him as a legend after that pile of sh!t album dropped. Sure, he’s getting money, but he’s had that. He made this album to show people he’s still on top, but couldn’t of been more wrong.
So, really, Jay-Z is winning since 4:44 was a waaaay better album than Revival. And yes, Em has been falling off for quite some time now.
If it wasn’t for streaming counting as records sale migos wouldn’t make it
No one would. It’s 2018 no one buys cds anymore
Vinyl sales are almost higher than they eve were, so…
ever*
The music charts are fixed. Anybody can have a number #1 hit record. Migos’ album is weak at best. Eminem’s record was terrible. Lil wayne’s last effort was a pile of shit. Fake drake’s phony ep was laughable. The industry must change the way they count music sales because somebody is cheating the system. Where is the good music on the music charts? Basically, the charts are made up of bunch rappers that are fads. The best music should dominate the music charts not the worst. How can you win awards for this bull shit? We need to boycott the industry.
