Balming Tiger continues to share new music from their highly anticipated upcoming debut album.

Yesterday (April 11), the Seoul-based alternative K-pop group released the music video for “SOS,” which features all 11 members working on the same track at once, a first in the group’s history.

Shot on location in Hong Kong, “SOS” is described as a “love song with a heart of passionate courtship,” resident director Jan’Qui helmed the accompanying visual, which saw performers Omega Sapien, sogumm, Mudd the student, and bj wnjn playing characters (and settings) inspired by the films of Wong Kar-wai. Adding whimsy to the project is the cover art designed by Japanese illustrator Jun Inagawa.

The track’s theme also fittingly derives from the Hong Kong auteur’s films. “SOS” explores longing and being a “prisoner of love” but in turn is the one who does the saving.

The yet-to-be-titled studio album is set to be released in the middle of the year, according to a press statement.
