A master self-promoter and innovator, Soulja Boy is credited as one of the first rappers to use social media to advance his career. His debut single "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" peaked at number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for seven non-consecutive weeks starting in September 2007. The track was nominated for Best Rap Song at the 50th Grammy Awards. While some regarded him as a “one-hit” wonder, "Turn My Swag On,” the third single from his Souljaboytellem.com, topped the US Rap Charts and peaked at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100. Since then, Soulja Boy has released several albums, hit songs, and remains one of the most entertaining personalities in Hip-Hop.
