California native Saweetie began her rap career by posting short rap clips on her instagram account. One of these freestyles happened to be to Khia’s hit “My Neck My Back (Lick It)” – and this eventually turned into her debut single “ICY GIRL'' released in 2017. She continued to push “Icy Girl” and the visual went viral, standing at 125 million views on YouTube. Saweetie signed to Warner Records in 2019 and released her debut EP High Maintenance. She then followed up with another EP called Icy, promoting her hit single “My Type” which entered the US Billboard Hot 100 at 81, being Saweetie’s first ever charting single. Since the success of “My Type,” Saweetie has garnered major traction with other hit singles like “Tap In,” “Icy Girl'' and more. Recently gaining notoriety from her viral single called “Best Friend” ft. Doja Cat, Saweetie is now celebrating a platinum plaque.
