After announcing a new album was in the works earlier this month, Snoop Dogg is back with the official cover art for his 15th studio album, Neva Left, which serves as the follow-up to 2016’s Coolaid. The inimitable Doggfather took to Instagram to share the cover art and also reiterated the project is expected to arrive on May 19.

“The evolution of the dogg,” he wrote. “new album #NevaLeft comin May 19!! preorder now (link in bio).”

Shot by photographer Chi Modu, the cover art repurposes a classic photograph from the unforgettable Doggystyle era and finds the legendary MC posted up in front of a highway sign that appropriately reads “East California 187.” The album is now available for pre-order, and comes with the instant-grat track “Mount Kushmore” featuring Redman, Method Man, and B-Real. Check out the cover art above.

The spotlight is on the West Coast tonight with the Hip Hop world buzzing for whatever Kendrick Lamar has in store, but even though the good kid is carrying the torch, don’t think the legends are slowing down.

Snoop Dogg announced the release date for his Neva Left album via Instagram yesterday (April 5), saying that the the follow-up to Coolaid is due out May 19.

He teased the LP a few weeks ago with a preview of new music.

The Doggfather is also working on a Coolaid movie after feeling the album wasn’t given the attention it deserved. It debuted at #40 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling just over 11,000 units upon its release in July.

Snoop continues to push music, releasing the “Super Crip” music video just last month. He’s also working to help other artists, including October London and Jooba Loc, build their platforms as well as serving as a brand ambassador for Tanqueray gin.

    1. Who is checking for snoop dogg music? He’s a legend in this game but his last album sold about 2,000 copies. I can’t believe after that he is releasing another album. Unbelievable! He’s shitting on his legacy! He should stick to being a tv personality or something. Stay away from music… apart from the odd feature.

    2. Snoop destroyed his own following. Once a big snoop fan here; but got bored as he pumps out so much low quality rap. Snoop isn’t really great unless he’s with dr dre

    3. coolaid, blue carpet, doggfather, n doggystyle. some uh, contributing writers, make the latest on my list part of why. fingers crossed though.

    4. Lemming hip hop fans will scream Doggy Style is his only good album, but Coolaid was underrated. Snoop has put out some duds, but he also has a lot of very good albums in his catalog.

    5. Anyone out there with a brain, please boycott Poop Dogg’s upcoming album, and anything else he puts out, for that asanine stunt he pulled in the Lavender video. Snoop should get capped with real bullets for crossing that line.

      1. Hey CHUMP how’s that EGOTISTICAL LIAR workin’ out?! Promised affordable Health Care for a ‘fraction’ of what people were paying, TRUMPCARE turned into the biggest NIGHTMARE ever! No one can ever afford his ridiculous ‘plan’ that Republicans didn’t even approve! He promised Mexico would pay for that racist and useless ‘Wall’, that he know wants to charge US the American taxpayers (of which he avoids paying ANY of) over $80,000,000.00 for, that won’t keep one person out! & he racistly said he’d ban EVERY Muslim from flying to America, that he cxouldn’t….like sayin’ he’d ban every CATHOLIC from entering a country, full of immigrants, including his out-of-touch with reality family that came to a land that had Mexicans & Native American Indians BEFORE them! Don’t get me started on the horrific treatment in Standing Rock on sacred Indian grounds or going BACKWARDS on global warming & climate control! Approval rate is 30%, LOWEST IN HISTORY & will no doubt go down in history as THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER! …..& SNOOP DOGG is the ‘problem’?!@!? GTFOH………….

        1. Lol i stopped reading after you said trump care turned into a nightmare. Obamacare is costing me $650 a month… for a 26 year old who isnhealthy, doesn’t smoke, ect.

He’s been president for 3 months. All because you haven’t made good on your campaign promises in 3 months doesn’t account for much.

      1. Thats what your ma said as she repeatedly dropped you on your head and not only dropped you down the ugly tree hitting every branch but swung you into the trunk by your umbillecal chord you failrd abortion

    6. Coolaid was ‘aight’. The album with Neptunes was a classic, it was a different genre. The one before that, 7 Days of Funk, is a fucking classic! If you heavent heard 7 days of Funk you are fucking missing out! I bumped that shit constantly for months burning through a half p of Blue Dream. We need a sequel to 7 Days of Funk

    7. Snoop has not put out a dope, complete album since Doggystyle. Good singles here and there, but a complete album? Nope.

    8. that shit is groovy in the background…snoop needs to get those lyrics back tight though…all the way through…with a tight assed dre song on there. he still has the juice, just be smokin a little too damn much, or not enough one lol…

    9. you’re all a bunch of haters man. Snoop is one of the best in the game. His only weak records were No Limit Top Dogg, Da Game is to be Sold Not Told, Malice in Wonderland, Reincarnated and Bush. Everything else has been on point INCLUDING 213 and Tha Eastsidaz. Snoop’s been in the game for like 25 yrs and is king of the west coast… I’m lookin forward to his new shit.

      1. Um no limit top Dogg was one of his best records. Bitch please, just dippin, Buck em, etc etc it was his return to dr dre and west coast.

      1. Justin, I think people listen to lyrics and beat… aka rap music. I mean, people didn’t love doggystyle for the lyrics alone… the production was top notch for that time. Beats matter.

    10. Snoop an undisputed legend, still relevant and making hits 25 years after his debut, the original Dr. Dre protege, a multi-millionaire and a household name – meanwhile, the virgins hating in the DX comment section are listening to Migos and Lil Yachty lmao you pussies will learn eventually

      1. No doubt. These cats constantly refer to Doggystyle bein’ his only great album, while he made so many great ones. Fans just don’t like artists evolving and trying out new things. Let Uncle Snoop be the artist he is.

        1. Yo,
SO Name one other snoop album that has absolutely ZERO crap songs on it? Doggystyle has zero filler, and zero mediocre songs. I can’t say that about any other snoop album.

          1. You ignorant fool, every artist that has a classic album under their belt has another album with fillers on it – Tupac, Biggie, Nas, Dre, Eminem, etc – every single one of them put out albums with filler tracks, so why you criticising Snoop for doing the same? Snoop makes music because he feels like it and doesn’t give a fuck about what clowns like you think

    11. 1st album classic but without Death Row and Suge Knight this fool just don’t have that gangsta swag no more and yes Snoop…u did leave so your album title is like what’s left of your image…FAKE and u ain’t doin a 187 anytime soon so stop pretending !!!

    12. We’re not haters for being truthful that Snoop only has one actual classic underneath his belt. Doggystyle, is an undisputed classic. So is snoops work on the chronic, the dogg pounds “Dogg food”, and a few other peoples albums from that time period. Snoop really isn’t good without dr dre and the team of producers they use.

Coolaid was okay. I liked it for a week or two, yet I can’t name any tracks. His last pretty okay album in my opinion was tha doggumentary. Lots of crap on it, but the songs that were good were real dope. But snoop can never come close to his classic.

    13. Should’ve retired 2 damn decades ago… please stop fuckin up your legacy even more. Snoop has always been more of an image, icon, a character rather than a MC, dude can’t rhyme for shit but it’s his persona and creativity that made him what he is, now he only has the persona (kinda) and unfortunately that’s not enough to make a decent album.

    14. Damn the cover is giving me G-Funk vibes. Funny it looks like a selfie how tf is that possible? He looks young af on that.

    15. You clowns are Crazy Snoop has had mad bangers. even the Eastsidaz joint was a classic the first one. Also Paid the Cost. Rythm and Gangsta….. snoop is one of the greats and best selling Rap cats of all times. smoke on that…… even a flop album for snoop outsells young thug and these new cats who just get views…. lol millions of views and no buys….speed on before you get p$$d on young chap

    16. Some of you guys wasn’t even around when Doggystyle came out in 1993, Snoop was a big impact, not only just on the west coast but in Hip Hop in general. With that being said, Snoop is definitley an OG in tha game, but he will never be that same guy with the box hair cut, cause he’s not in that enviroment anymore.

    17. Please. Stop. Releasing. The raps are awful, just listen to the lyrics. Guy’s just a personality. He’s dumped alllllll over his legacy alrdy and ppl still think he’s a great. I liked Doggystyle and tha blue carpet treatment, that’s it.

    18. I stayed away from Snoop’s albums for at least 5 years Blue Carpet n Rhythm n Gangsta were okay but his last great album was Tha Last Meal shit was like 15 years ago he need to get Tray Deee to ghostwrite him a concept album or sumthing we all tired of the weed raps n cooking with Martha Stewart ……..

      1. I constantly play to Doggystyle and The Doggfather back to back. Those were definitely his two best albums imo.

    19. Such a hypocrite. Couple years ago it was “No Guns Allowed”. Wannebe Crip, Wannabe Pimp, Wannebe Popstar, Wannabe Rasatfarian, smh.

    20. This is so far not good Swivel weak, my kushmore weak , Go on weak , promise you this weak. lavender so so. the trap song is atrocious, sad day .Snoop is one of my faves , he is washed up like Whodini

    21. I feel the same way. I Neva left the hood even tho I live a city away, I still visit my hood. I took recent pics too. RIP my pops. He was the OG of my area.

    22. Some of this shit bangs…. Tracy Davis bitches!~!!! early snoops and DPG shit is all I used to listed too back in the day. Bangin… bout time MR Hollywood got back to the roots….

    23. Definitely the best west coast album I’ve heard this year. Love it. That trash bags song is trash. Should have left that out . But besides that this album is really fucking good.
Not better than Joey badass album but I would say slightly ahead of Kendricks

    24. and the song Trash Bags actually isn’t that bad . It has a nice vibe and beat . People just hating on that track becuz it has a pop appeal .

    25. I still love Snoop. Enjoyed Coolaid. Wanted to like this album. I’m not impressed with it though. It’s a bloated, directionless mess to me. These days he is much better suited to projects like Bush IMO. That was short, sweet, cohesive and fun. This is just … meh.

    26. Left bein Doggy Dogg…left Death Row…left gangsta rap (No Guns Allowed). The album should be called ALWAYZ LEFT IMO…

    27. This crappy generic sounding throw away must’ve been the throw away tracks from coolaid. Coolaid, although I don’t care for it, had some playback value when I first heard it. This has zero. Played it once… maybe one more to try again… but no big Snoop fan can really think this is good can they?

    28. The only song that had potential to be dope, but wasn’t and was still tnrow away was “let us begin” with KRS-1. Beat is dope. Krs-1 is too repetitive. Snoop is just there… his flow got so slow paced.

    29. Snoop is trying to hard to be the old Snoop instead of the New and improved Calvin. The Father the coach The black Entrepreneur. He aint crippin. he needs a new soulful album with real soulful music , stuff he really listens to . grown folks music these kids aint rockin with him no more. He does have a talented Roster.I love Clay James , Meechy Blu, Brielle Marie, October can sing just sounds unoriginal and needs better writing and more cool production they got him soundin like a weak marvin gaye , jazzepha washed up. He should focus on the next generation of artist and put out a compilation from his roster. thats put together like a Chronic Album but with new dope innovative producers…. no old school beats no dj mustard sounding stuff … new and innovative only

    30. This is some new-age snoop where you’d expect him to be! Man he showed up on this one like he never left!!! #NevaLeft

    31. The wack Marvin Gaye interpretation, the wack Wu-Tang feel in the 1st cut and the wack K Camp feature make these wack throwaways sound good.

    32. What the FUCK…. Snoop please hit up Dr Dre….. We need a DoggyStyle 2….. Neva Left…. More like -Neva Again-……

    33. This album is a banger if you don’t pay attention to those childish lyrics of Snoop. VAPORS remix is great!!!! Go On is my favourite track so far

    34. Neva Left is a Great album after 3 or 4 listens. This was my soundtrack for the day. Hip-hop at its finest. Mumble Romper fans would get it. Snoop on his sh!t !

    35. Album was Koo. I’m feeling it. It ain’t no Doggystyle but it’s better than half the shit datz on da radio. All day mumble rap crap lol

    36. Snoop been in the game 25 years and gets these many comments and listens to his shit, so he’s still relevant. Most of the dudes who were with him in 92/93 are either out of the game or dead, so that’s an accomplishment in itself.
