A$AP Rocky has been detained in a Swedish jail for nearly two weeks as prosecutors deliberate whether or not to pursue charges against him following a physical altercation on Jun 30. A$AP Ferg, Schoolboy Q, T.I. and numerous others have staged a Swedish boycott to support their comrade.
Now buzzing rapper Sheck Wes has chimed in to offer his support to the rapper, in addition to slamming the country for unfair policing.
In a pair of tweets fired off on Monday (July 8), the Mudboy rapper recanted a troubling encounter between Swedish authorities and his own entourage.
“Police frisked me and the whole gang down in Sweden and stripped searched my mans with no consent and we just had too agree shit was wild aggressive and that’s fucked up,” Sheck Wes began the tweet.
“EUROPEAN countries police always just tryna make and use examples and on tourists that’s unsturdy.”
He also expressed his support for the release of the A$AP Mob head honcho by following up his initial tweet by simply exclaiming, “Free Rocky.”
Rocky was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault on July 2, following his alleged involvement in a street fight with two men who were caught on video following the rapper and harassing his entourage for blocks. One of the men even assaulted his bodyguard with a pair of headphones.
Since his confinement, multiple stories have shared troubling details about the conditions of the jail Rocky is staying. Reportedly, the facility is “unfit for human beings” and according to TMZ, Rocky has been served inedible food, dirty water and exposed to raw feces.
Per reports, he has managed to meet with an American Consulate member, following their initial dismissal by authorities at the jail. Swedish court proceedings are private and closed to the public and media, but that hasn’t stopped Rocky’s team from seeking the help of the State Department to assist in the release of the rapper.
He could face up to six years in prison if convicted of the charges.

Yeah, maybe they don’t want convicted felons, gang members and self proclaimed drug dealers roaming around unchecked. I’m a Latino. I’ve travelled all over the EU and never had a problem. Maybe don’t act like a fuckboy and walk around in large groups, sagging, wearing bandans, smoking weed on the street, holleeing at all the women.
I’m Bosnian and I’ve heard friends and family experiences especially those that go to play soccer over there. Maybe easy to judge coz is a rapper but regular tourists complain too. If you know anyone who frequents Sweden, Denmark you can ask. And he wasn’t acting gangster or anything. He’s there to perform so of course he won’t go alone. They weren’t more than 4 and that’s not a large group. They weren’t hollering. Maybe you should watch the video. He committed a crime and should pay the price but those countries can keep you for up to years before conviction if you don’t have a good legal team.
