Rap Release Dates: Ja Rule, Maino, Young Jeezy, USDA

There are about two and a half months left in 2011. For the most part, albums that were promised (Watch the Throne, Tha Carter IV, Cole World: The Sideline Story, etc.) have been delivered. The rest (Take Care, Ambition, Radioactive, etc.) are coming soon, while others continue to tease us (Hello, Detox). Another one that teeters on the teasing seesaw is Young Jeezy’s Thug Motivation 103. The CTE godfather and frontrunner of the U.S.D.A. has been pushing the album around like a bully to a geek all over the 3rd and 4th quarter. We’re told that December 20th is the latest for TM: 103. Let’s hope that date sticks. In the event that it doesn’t, Jeezy is still showing his face on November 15th. He’s joined by the rest of U.S.D.A. for a project called The After Party. He and the homies connected on “Outta Here” last week, while Jeezy dropped some Hustlerz’ Ambition in the form of “.38” so there’s hope.

This week, Statik Selektah finally brings some Population Control (check out the review) to the world. Statik has some collossal collaborations on the project, with “Damn Right” (featuring Joell Ortiz and Brother Ali) being the most recent track leaked. Freestyle Fellowship also drop The Promise this week with Jedi Mind Tricks’ Violence Begets Violence and one of two Snowgoons collaborations. This week it’s The Snowgoons’ Your Favorite MC with Reef the Lost Cauze. However, on November 22nd, they’re back again with M.O.P. on Sparta. They share some space that day with Maino’s The Day After Tomorrow and the Statik-Bronson project Well Done (listen to “Cocoa Butter” with Nina Sky).

At the close of last month, Phonte dropped the impeccable Charity Starts At Home. As November begins, the other half of the now defunct Little Brother, Rapper Big Pooh will drop Dirty Pretty Things (check out the album sampler ). Don’t forget 9th Wonder also brought The Wonder Years last month too (same day as Phonte). It’s nice to see that despite no new LB music together, we’re still getting tons apart. While we pray for a Clipse reunion, Pusha T finally offers up Fear Of God 2: Let Us Pray on November 8th. The EP competes with Mac Miller’s Blue Slide Park, Pac Div’s The DiV, and Tech N9ne’s collaboration project Welcome To Strangeland. Tech opened this week with a new track off the album “Unfair” featuring Krizz Kaliko and Ces Cru. Don’t forget the controversial “The Noose” with ¡MAYDAY! too. As 2012 sneaks up, we’re promised Ja Rule’s Pain Is Love 2 on January 17th, but there is plenty of time for that date to change.
