NBA YoungBoy has offered to bring his rap career to an end and give away whatever unreleased music he has if anyone is willing to meet his price.
The Baton Rouge rapper teased the offer with a photo of a LaCie external hard drive, which he posted to his Instagram stories on Wednesday night (November 23).
“You can have it for 100million and I’ll never rap again on everything,” he captioned the post.
The offer comes at the end of a very active year for NBA YoungBoy, who has already delivered five projects in 2022, including his fourth solo studio album, The Last Slimeto. This year also saw the arrival of a collaborative project with DaBaby in March, while a new mixtape alongside Quando Rondo is scheduled for a November 25 release.
The onslaught of music puts NBA YoungBoy on track to meet his goal of releasing 10 projects this year, which would have placed his output above mixtape legends like Lil Wayne, Curren$y and Gucci Mane.
He shared his plan to do so in October, just ahead of his Gangsta Grillz mixtape, Ma’ I Got A Family, which boasted assists from Nicki Minaj and Yeat, in addition to the support of DJ Drama.
Debuting at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, the mixtape brought the Never Broke Again boss’ grand total on the chart up to 25, surpassing JAY-Z, who has 24. It should be noted that Billboard does not consider the Beyoncé and JAY-Z collab album EVERYTHING IS LOVE as part of either artist’s solo discography.
In October, it was also reported that NBA YoungBoy had amassed a staggering 5.4 billion streams in the U.S. in 2022 so far, making him the second most-streamed artist of any genre this year behind Drake (6.7 billion). Even global superstar Bad Bunny trailed by a billion streams.
In fact, YoungBoy has spent most of the year setting the pace alongside the 6 God. In May, the two rappers were leading all artists with 3 billion and 2.8 billion total U.S. streams, respectively — almost half a million more than third-place Taylor Swift.
The effects of his output haven’t all been positive, however, as the 23-year-old recently claimed he has run out of material. In a screen-shotted YouTube comment circling online, one of NBA YoungBoy’s fans asked the 23-year-old to drop a new track, to which he replied and said it physically wasn’t possible.
“Would you care if I said not till next year?” YoungBoy asked. “Quando dropping the tape with me and him but I ran out of rhymes help me??”
