Kanye West Finally Releases ‘Donda’ Album Featuring JAY-Z, Travis Scott, Lil Baby & More

Kanye West’s Donda album, his much anticipated 10th studio effort, is here.

Due to a failed run for president, his pending divorce from Kim Kardashian, three separate listening sessions between his birthplace of Atlanta and hometown of Chicago and numerous tweaks to the project, the project was delayed by over a year. But the finalized version was finally confirmed to hit digital streaming platforms at 8 a.m. EST on Sunday (August 29).

‘Ye’s manager Bu Thiam shared a post on Instagram with an image of a seated ‘Ye from the Chicago listening session next to a childhood version of him to confirm the news.

The spectacle of each listening session was as provocative as the music. During the Chicago listening session on Thursday (August 26), ‘Ye opened by standing on a mock version of his childhood home, flanked by DaBaby and controversial rock musician Marilyn Manson.

DaBaby has been under fire in the media due to his comments at Rolling Loud Miami in July. Manson stands accused of numerous acts of sexual assault and “conceptually” contributed to the album.

In one surprise act, ‘Ye played a version of the song “Jail,” which previously featured his Watch The Throne counterpart JAY-Z and instead of Hov’s verse, fans received to a verse from DaBaby.

Hov’s verse was re-added to the finalized version after DaBaby’s manager wouldn’t clear the rapper’s verse, much to DaBaby’s chagrin.

Kanye West's 3rd 'Donda' Listening: 6 Things You Need To Know From Chicago

Fans and critics originally believed DONDA would arrive on September 3, the same day as Drake’s Certified Lover Boy.

The 6 God utilized ESPN’s SportsCenter on Friday (August 27) to tease the album’s release date to further their cold war after another round of subliminal shots between the two, including Drizzy’s not-so-subtle jabs on Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal.”

Check out the final version of Donda featuring The Weeknd, Jay Electronica, The LOX, Young Thug, the late Pop Smoke, Pusha T, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Fivio Foreign and Kid Cudi, among others, below.

    1. After a first listening before my mind is polluted by critics and radio hosts bombarding their zealotry about Kanye, I can tell this album is TRASH. The only track I can f*** with is Jesus Lord, Pt. 2. Everything else is pop music for corny white kids living in Calabasas or anorexic supermodels trying to blend in the urban culture listening to hip hop music. Like I always said: Kanye and Pharrell ruined hip hop music with their corny dress code and pop music they instill for almost 20 years now. FOH!

      1. I get how you can speak on Kanye like that at this point, but to group Pharrell in there with him? Maaaaan, shut the hell up. Ruined hip-hop? You sound dumb as hell.

        1. Yes… you read correctly “ruined hip hop”. Only a bitch ass can deny this. Hardcore hip hop got put aside for some bubble gum music produced by kanye and pharrell with features from justin timberlake and nelly to name a few. It led us to the girly music we have today where rappers sing and dress like females or kiss their male dancers on stage. So wtf is you whining about my comment for?? FOH!

          1. Smh. Hardcore hip-hop didn’t get put aside for Ye and Pharrell. It got put aside way before they came along. You gonna really act like things weren’t already heading in this direction before those two? Do your history, man. Record labels knew way before the early 00s that girls and white people buy rap albums…stupid.

            1. I said what I said halfwit. Wtf is you talkin about doing my history. SMH. Hardcore hip hop was put aside cause these motherfuckers started their skateboard backpack faggish music bullshit even though some rappers like nas, the wu-tang, mobb deep, dr. dre, etc. were still active in the early 2000s… they just have been swept up by this wave initiated by kanye and pharrell who pushed this feminine soft fruit bowl agenda that we know today. If you like this lollipop gayish trend it’s your right but don’t pretend these two didn’t instigate this. Kanye who cries like a female on social media talkin about havin a liposuction and arguing with his armenian bitch and pharrell talkin about how he would snitch on someone to avoid jail time cause he’s not build to stand like a man when drama shows up. FOH!

    2. too religious-sounding for me. i bought it blindly but i might play the hip hop inspired songs but nah this ain’t my thing

      1. Yo kenny u 1 of the real ni&&@z that I follow here, but I can’t believe u bought this crap album. #unfollow

    3. This album sucks so bad… it’s a mix mash of all crappy songs. Looks like Kendrick and drake will save the summer

    4. Album is bad. A lot of Playboy Cardi/mumble rapper type beats with heavy bass, barely any sample and ZERO MELODY. Too many wack new rappers and singers who add nothing of value also…It was a struggle to listen to this mess all the way through. The album is too long to be this blah. I’m disappointed because when I heard the song with Jay-Z I though this was about to be another classic, but things go quickly downhill after that song. This dude needs to take his bipolar meds and stop over thinking his music. I think this is the product of him psyching himself out….I’m not impressed

    5. Never thought I’d ever say this but, I miss the old Gayfish Kanye. This new Faux religious butthole Ye sucks more ass than a Doctor’s Liposuction Machine during Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery in Rio De Janeiro.

      1. All stanning just to stan. Get your own life so you can finally stop living vicariously off of a mentally unstable has been.

        1. He could have dropped illmatic and y’all would say it was too basic and trash. Production on this album is so good. What does his mental stability have to do with his music? You’re a clown.

        2. He could have dropped illmatic and y’all would say it was too basic and trash. Production on this album is so good. What does his mental stability have to do with his music?

        3. He could have dropped illmatic and y’all would say it was too basic and trash. Production on this album is so good. What does his mental stability have to do with his music? You’re a clown

    6. Kanye ran out of actual talented people to sample back in the day, which is why he hasn’t had a hot album in forever. The end.

      1. He aint makin albums for u fools stuck in the early 2000’s jesus fkin christ – get over yourself and move on hahahaha

        1. He ain’t making music you either. This is that tax exempt/ tax write off money. Ye doesn’t care about people who aren’t named Ye.

        2. What does making albums for people have to do with anything? I fuck with anything that sounds good. Shit is boo boo like every album he’s had the last 10 years. Just because you’re a fan and can’t separate that from the music isn’t my fault.

    7. Ran through like the first 5 tracks in the car this morning. With all the dumb stunts, I totally forgot he raps about god. Needless, to say, Im not impressed. Never understood why milenials like this guy so much.

    8. Jesus Lord part 2 with Jay Elec and the Lox slaps. Fuck every single Hager in this comment section. There is at least 5-6 dope tracks on here, which is UNHEARD of in 2021.

      1. Have you lost your marbles. COTI is straight fire front to back. No fillers. All dope. I swear people dont have standars anymore if 5-6 dope tracks out of 27 pass as a good project.

        1. Shut up pop butt. Any album since 2001 that has 3 good tracks on it is a lot nowadays. Weirdo. This idiot said Lloyd Banks.

      2. Hager lol……I don’t have any idea what the hell a Hager it’s someone who understands that this album is atrocious than count me in. Oh and your comment about 4-5 songs is a far stretch at best. Only found barely one song honestly. As far as other artists, Nas’ King’s Disease 2, Lloyd Banks’ COTI , and J.Cole’s The Off Season are leaps and bounds better than this will ever be because they were cohesive and lyrical put together hip hop albums… this is not a hip hop album technically it falls in the gospel category more than anything else. Needs to step away for a bit and go get his personal affairs in order because he’s too conflicted and it’s reflected in his music. Onces he’s actually focused and back to being his abnormal normal conceited self-absorbed self then we’ll get back to getting the best Kanye West album we will ever get not this Floundering Dying GayFish Ye that’s so insufferable that even he can’t stand being around himself so he has to hire people to hang out with him. (actually true)

      1. Think you might be either deaf or going deaf or possibly tone deaf because this is the worst album he’s ever made other than ye. That’s saying a lot. It’s so bad that even Atheist and Satanists switched religions just to review bomb the album. That’s the harsh reality of suckery that is this album.

      2. I agree,if I had a physical copy right now I’m pretty sure that I would pour gasoline on it and burn it right now and piss out the smoldering remains. This album suck, Fam.

          1. Sounds like you’re already doing that. It’s probably why you can’t hear the actual quality of the music too well. That white stuff in your ears isn’t ears wax, buddy.

            1. LMAO!!! That ain’t holy water. Looks like someone has spent extra time on his knees behind the rectory. Amen or maybe Two men lol. Can never tell with you, skirt wearing emo Ye fans.

    9. Donda song number 27 (Jesus Lord ft Jay Elec and LOX) reminds me what hip hop is supposed to be about. The other songs I was call music

    10. Social media has reverted adults to children. I don’t understand how people are so emotionally charged with opinions on celebs. Just stfu, buy it if you want to, or don’t. The ego accentuated behind a keyboard is dangerous. Use that energy to fight real battles in life, and not somebody that doesn’t know u exist. Personally, gonna get this, Drake, and whatever I feel. Grown folks, especially men, need to reevaluate their lives crying on social media about which flavor of Ben and Jerry’s (hiphop) is the best. We have different tastes. Live with it. Black men are so effeminate these days especially with their entitled emotional opinions. Grow tf up and reconnect with real stuff you got to deal with. Smh. Blah blah blah Drake. Blah blah blah Kanye. Grow up. Leave this ish to females you pu$$i3s

      1. I’m pretty social media are mostly children (age 25 and under), that’s my assumption anyways. These kids spend most of their lives on the internet, so a lot of their dumbasses don’t know what it takes to be really successful. The real grown folks don’t have time to hate since they have to deal with real life situations, non of these celebrity gossip bs that don’t effect their life in anyway. Also people who constantly span hate comments, I’m sure their life sucks anyways.

      2. Bruh I’m telling you its been like this forever especially on this site just an echo chamber of negativity…. I worry really about a lot of these people but I know in real life most cases there is nothing really behind it they aren’t invested its just impulse. Most people on the internet are nice in real life and will serve you water because their masters thirsty

      1. Yeah and so is that picture too. Gahhdaaammnn!!!! It’s like your face got COVID-19 but your nose decided to carry on living after death and your teeth are suffering from rigor mortis.

    11. Stupid nonsense of an album. You could tell from the pre-release stunts that this is nothing but stupidity

    12. Kanye went from releasing 3 straight classics in a row when he first started to making subpar auto tune shit with bad lyrics and bad features. Sad

        1. MBDTF is severely overrated. Solid album but not even in his top 3. It does sound positively elite next to Donda though.

    13. I’am made $84, 8254 so far this year working online and I’m a full time student. Im using an online business opportunity I heard about and I’AM made such great money. It’s really user friendly and I’m just so happy that I found out about it. Heres what I do,.for more information simply open this link thank you….www.income200.com

    14. production was really dope, had a few joints worth replaying but Kanye still can’t sing and his voice sounds really bad on some tracks, overusing autotune isn’t going to save that fact

    15. For a fan of 90s hiphop, nothing Kanye has ever done is above mediocrity. Boring lyrics and sped up samples in the beginning and weird noises fueled my insanity later. For a you stans, it turns out that your hero agrees with me. He himself felt that he wouldn’t have lasted in the era of Tupac and Biggie.

    16. Gave this album an honest listen through and wasn’t really disappointed because I expected a gospel record with severe auto tune and Eurotrash beats and pretty much got exactly that except with a few drill beats interspersed. I think “off the grid” may be the only potentially listenable song on this and its nothing to scream about. The fire in his soul was definitely extinguished a long time ago and these albums are just the ravings of a semi lunatic with childish entitlement tendencies. That’s just my opinion though.

    17. Thankfully, Nas dropped King Disease 2 before this shit came out, so we still got some hip hop to hold on too!

    18. Yha theres just a few songs but theyre wavy and like nothing give ever herd check yourself its not the music its you your a hater and ye is the future yey for 2025
