Brooklyn, NY

Louis Vuitton hosted an exhibition on Friday (May 20) honoring its late artistic director, Virgil Abloh, and debuted his unique Nike Air Force 1 collection. The Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse guests were treated to a special performance from dynamic ATL combination Metro Boomin behind the boards and 21 Savage on the mic.

It was a hit factory at the “Air Force 1” Exhibition with Metro Boomin running through his Billboard Hot 100 anthems and 21 performing staples from his discography like “Bank Account,” “A lot,” “Knife Talk” and more. Both artists were draped in Louis Vuitton from head-to-toe.

The Exhibition is open to the public for 10 days until May 31. For those in the Brooklyn area, they can check out the experience at 73 West Street.

Nine of the Air Force 1 styles will eventually be for sale, with VIP members getting the first crack at copping the highly sought-after kicks, which retail for $2,750 for low-tops and $3,450 for mid-tops, according to Vogue.

200 pairs were auctioned off earlier this year through Sotheby’s with each going for well over $100,000 for a total of $25 million. The sum was donated to the Virgil AblohTM “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund. Virgil tragically passed away at the age of 41 in November 2021 from cancer.

As for 21 Savage, he was spotted working with DJ Khaled last week as it looks like he’ll earn another placement on the Miami mogul’s forthcoming album, which is due out later this year.
