Kendrick Lamar has received a public apology from Dody6, who dissed the “Luther” rapper just months after being featured on his chart-topping album, GNX.

In a rant on social media earlier this month, Dody revealed he was homeless, then noted that his appearance on GNX‘s “hey now” “didn’t change shit.”

He then went on to text No Jumper’s Adam22, telling him, “Bro post I’m on meth. Idgaf. Post Dody is on meth and say k dot is a bitch ain’t tapping in.”

He’s since changed his tune, however, and has offered up a public apology to his Instagram Story.

“I WANNA PUBLICLY APOLOGIZE TO @kendricklamar for callin cuz ah bitch bcuz he is far from that & ain’t did nothing but bless me n my life,” he wrote.

Despite the apology, chances are slim that Dody6 will be invited to join Kendrick Lamar on his Grand National Tour with SZA – which just broke Eminem‘s previous record of highest-grossing rap concert.

According to Touring Data, the opening night in Minneapolis grossed over $9.1 million from more than 47,000 fans at an average price of $192.70.

This means that Kendrick can now boast that he has the single highest grossing Hip Hop concert of all time, surpassing Eminem’s record from when he played in Melbourne, Australia in 2019.

It is also the first rap concert to break the $9 million barrier.

The concert in Minneapolis was also the most attended gig for both Kendrick and SZA outside of festival performances.

The opening night of the Grand National tour was also notable for some remarks Kendrick appeared to aim at his nemesis, Drake.

Making overt reference to Drizzy’s controversial lawsuit against Universal Music Group which accuses the record giant of defamation over the release and promotion of “Not Like Us,” Kendrick mocked the 6 God for taking their beef to the courtroom.

The skit starts with the lawyer mentioning February 9, the date Kendrick performed at the Super Bowl, which Drake recently cited in his amended lawsuit against UMG.

In response, Kendrick says: “I don’t keep up with dates.”

Lamar is also asked by the attorney: “Does this ring a bell? Drop, drop, drop, drop,” referencing a line from Drake’s diss track “Family Matters.”

The pgLang MC responds in the clip by smiling before his set resumed and he launched into “Not Like Us.”
