Bobby Shmurda is looking to dip his hands into several new business endeavors — and one of them happens to be in the cannabis industry.
On Tuesday (May 10), the Brooklyn-bred rapper took to his Instagram to make a huge announcement about his new cannabis deal. In the video clip, Bobby Shmurda is standing on a chair and holding a hefty bag of weed while Marlon Asher’s “Ganja Farmer” plays in the background. According to the 27-year-old, he just signed a contract with the Elevate Cannabis Company to launch his own line of marijuana strains.
“New announcement,” the Shmoney dance creator yelled into the camera. “Bobby Shmurda officially has a weed strain. Shoutout to Elevate Cannabis Company, I love y’all we got 10 strains coming out.”
He continued in the caption of his post, “Yooooooooooooo new announcement I jus sign the contract I am Officially partner with my first weed company @elevated.cannabis.company we got 10 coming out Shout out @elevate_ceo @elevate__losangeles @thisguyprick @reignsupremeentertainment Gang gang.”

Bobby Shmurda will be joining a long list of rappers who’ve jumped into the cannabis industry, including JAY-Z, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Chief Keef and more. There’s no official word on when his line will officially release, but he, along with his fans, are excited about the drop.
While Bobby Shmurda gets fans ready to indulge in the 10 different strains he has coming out, he may also want to focus on his bowling skills. Earlier this month, Shmurda hit a bowling alley where he tried to give some tips on hitting the pins, but he ultimately failed when he watched his ball end up in the gutter.
