Kanye West has made no secret of the fact that he is not a J. Cole fan, but his latest attack on the Dreamville rapper is perhaps his most brutal yet.

The ever-controversial Chicago native resumed mocking Cole on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday (April 1) when responding to a viral post that claimed “J. Cole spared Kendrick” by bowing out of their brief battle last year.

Ye strongly disagreed with the statement and threw shade at Kendrick as well, writing: “I hate J Cole music so much. It’s like between Kendrick and J Cole. I bet you industry plants asked J Cole to diss Drake then we would have been accosted with a J Cole Super Bowl commercial with no SZA song to save it.”

He then wrote: “No one listens to J Cole after loosing [sic] their virginity.”

Yeezy also recalled a conversation he had with Drake about the North Carolina rap star: “When I met up with Drake during Donda most of the convo was me telling him he was hurting hip hop by giving J Cole a platform and I was saying how much I loved Future.”

Despite trashing J. Cole, Kanye West did have kinder words for Drake and Will Smith in his social media outburst.

“How I hate Drake and I’m team Drake at the same time,” he said of his longtime frenemy. “Life is funny like that. It’s the weird thing where I feel closest to Drake outta any body in rap.”

In response to Smith’s braggadocious new Lyrical Lemonade freestyle, Ye wrote: “Will Smith is one of my biggest inspirations. This n-gga really became the biggest movie star in the world. Married the baddest actress. Raised brilliant children. And still got that drive.”

Kanye West has been attacking J. Cole for the best part of a year since he dropped his controversial remix of Future, Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That.”

On the track, he rapped: “Y’all so out of sight, out of mind / I can’t even think of a Drake line / Play J. Cole, get the pussy dry.”

West later blasted Cole in an interview with Justin Laboy for apologizing to Kendrick for dissing him on “7 Minute Drill.”

“Fuck all that pussy shit. Fuck all that shit, man. Because it’s like, that n-gga J. Cole went on tour with Drake. He knows what it is. It’s like, n-gga, you can’t run now,” he said.

Ye was then asked if rappers are allowed to apologize in rap beef, to which he responded: “I don’t know, man. I don’t listen to J. Cole so I wouldn’t even know. I just heard he had a song called ‘False Idols’ [sic] and somebody told me it’s halfway about me.”
