Kodak Black has made it very clear he wants credit where credit is due. On Monday (March 8), the 23-year-old rapper called out Lil Baby for claiming he invented “postin’ money on the ‘Gram” on the Lil Durk song “Finesse Out The Gang.”
In a series of Instagram posts, Kodak shared a five-year-old video of himself spreading money down his leg and explained, “I was just listening to my boy Lil Baby’s song. He was on my dawg Lil Durk song. He say, uh, ‘Postin’ money on the ‘Gram, I invented that.’ That’s some crazy shit. Stop playin’ Lil Baby. This was in 2016. Spread game too nasty.” At the same time, he and his boys are shouting “Blrrrd,” which Pooh Shiesty ad-libs on numerous cuts, including his gold-selling hit with Durk “Back In Blood.”
He added in the caption, “This is just a matter of fact! I ain’t dissing nobody, ion even know y’all. I’m just sayin. and this is not to say the respect level ain’t on either side, but you know.”

In a follow-up video, Kodak insisted he wasn’t really that concerned about it, saying, “Before you all think a n-gga being petty, I don’t really give a fuck about none of this shit, man. I ain’t married to none of these anthems. This shit ain’t about nothing. I’m really just putting this shit out there. Y’all let me have my shit, man. Y’all know y’all fucked up about me. Y’all know I’m a big influence to you n-ggas. Y’all like putting the respect on my shit.”

Kodak was one of several people granted a presidential pardon from Donald Trump in January. The Pompano Beach, Florida native served over a year in jail for falsifying information on federal forms to buy four firearms from a Miami gun shop on two separate occasions. He was originally sentenced to 46 months behind bars and was expected to remain in prison until 2022.
