Quavo is officially a movie producer. In a tweet posted on Wednesday (December 11), the Migos rapper announced the upcoming release of a horror film titled The Resort.
Expressing his excitement, he tweeted, “Wow Jus WATCH MY FIRST HORROR FILM I PRODUCED. The Resort Coming Soon. thanks @willmeldman.” [apple_news_ad type=”any”]

While Quavo’s tweet was scarce on the film’s details, he did thank and tag Will Meldman, the Founder and CEO of Double Down Pictures.

In March, Meldman posted what appears to be a picture from an editing session for the The Resort. The caption reads, “Having a blast in the editing bay with the squad today #TheResortMovie #ComingSoon #Casamigos in the studio.” [apple_news_ad type=”any”]
While this marks Quavo’s entry into the film industry, it was previously reported he was writing a script for a movie produced by all three of the Migos.

In a 2017 interview with Beats 1 host Zane Lowe, Quavo said, “They used to really do that a lot in the ’90s. I’m a ’90s baby and all my favorite movies got all my dope artists in them … Juice, Menace II Society. Even Ice Cube; Cube killed it! That’s what we’re trying to do right now and we’re looking into the script.”
