Two summers ago, Kim Kardashian took to Snapchat to expose a conversation between Taylor Swift and her husband Kanye West about The Life of Pablo track “Famous,” in which the 42-year-old Grammy Award-winning artist proclaims he “made that bitch famous.”

Kim originally revealed the conversation to prove Ye actually got Taylor’s permission to use her name in the song after she claims that she was unaware he’d be using her name in the song.

Now, in an interview with Rolling Stone published on Wednesday (September 18), the 29-year-old pop star is clearing the air about the events leading up to their fall out.

“Basically, I got really sick of the dynamic between he and I,” she reveals. “And that wasn’t just based on what happened on that phone call and with that song — it was kind of a chain reaction of things.”

Taylor says all she wanted was for Kanye’s approval following the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards debacle when West interrupted her Best Female Video acceptance speech because he felt Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” should have taken home the award instead.

So when West reached out to her a few weeks beforehand to see if she would like to present the Vanguard Award to him at the 2015 VMAs, she was honored.

“And so I wrote this speech up, and then we get to the VMAs and I make this speech and he screams, ‘MTV got Taylor Swift up here to present me this award for ratings!‘ she recalls. “And I’m standing in the audience with my arm around his wife, and this chill ran through my body. I realized he is so two-faced. That he wants to be nice to me behind the scenes, but then he wants to look cool, get up in front of everyone and talk shit.”

She claims Kanye sent her a big bouquet of flowers to apologize the next day and was touched when he originally called her about “Famous.” However, when she finally heard the song, she was done with their friendship.

“And then he literally did the same thing to Drake,” she points out referring to Kanye giving Pusha T fuel for his “Story of Adidion” Drake diss record. “He gravely affected the trajectory of Drake’s family and their lives. It’s the same thing. Getting close to you, earning your trust, detonating you. I really don’t want to talk about it anymore because I get worked up, and I don’t want to just talk about negative shit all day, but it’s the same thing.”

At this point, it appears Taylor is over reconciling any kind of relationship with Yeezy and is currently relishing in her No. 1 album Lover.

Meanwhile, Kanye has reportedly become a born-again Christian according to Nicki Minaj and has taken his Sunday Service series across the country. He’s currently gearing up for the September 27 release of his next album Jesus Is King.
