The terrible anniversary of Pittsburgh rapper Jimmy Wopo’s (still unsolved) murder recently passed on June 18 but Lang Gang rapper Big 24 Backdoor is ensuring the people remember his homie’s name.

“They call me Big Duece, Big 24, Backdoor. The Lane is Bedford Whiteside and Chauncey, we were like a music group that we called Money Lane,” he explains.

“When we started trying to push little things here and there, I wasn’t taking it too seriously but then when Wop passed I wanted to keep his name alive. Wop was the best out of Pittsburgh ever. Lane Gang forever. That’s all I’m doing, I’m just trying to hold Wop down.”

“No cap the way they rap out here, the shit is hard. We like gangsta rap a lot out here, but I like the drip and muthafuckas with their own style. They own shit, like they don’t try to copy nobody.”
