Snoop Dogg has admitted that Kendrick Lamar put him in his place on “Wacced Out Murals”.
Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Snoop addressed the fallout from posting Drake‘s AI assisted diss track “Taylor Made Freestyle”.
Lamar called out Snoop over the move on GNX opening track “Wacced Out Murals”, rapping: “Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles / I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.”
Snoop acknowledged that he deserved to get checked over the move: “A big dawg can get checked if it’s by the right person. There’s nothing wrong with properly being put in place, if you’re outta place… Sometimes the younger generation can teach the old dog a new trick.”
Snoop Dogg says he hasn’t had a conversation with Kendrick Lamar after he got “checked” on ‘Wacced Out Murals’ for posting Drake’s Taylor Made diss song, but says that they’re family

Snoop previously revealed that he had spoken to Kendrick to apologize for posting “Taylor Made Freestyle”.
He said to Bootleg Kev: “Then I get the word: ‘Nephew didn’t like what you did.’ What did I do?! ‘You played some music.’ What music?! Then I had to go look at the [post] and I’m like, ‘Aw, that’s cuz.’”
Snoop added: “So then I deleted it, called [Kendrick], left him a message ’cause he ain’t pick up, he was working on his shit. ‘Nephew, it’s Uncle Snoop. I got the message. I apologize, I was fucked up. My bad.’”
The West Coast rap legend also said that he was not offended by Kendrick namedropping him on “wacced out murals.”

“That’s my nephew, man. He’s a rapper, he’s supposed to speak his mind and tell his truth. That’s the way he felt and he has the right to say that,” he said.
“I’m his big homeboy so I have to take what’s given to me from his perspective because he’s speaking truth. And the truth shouldn’t hurt you, it should make you better. I’m one to accept truth when it’s brought to me directly.
“He feels that I shouldn’t have played that. Damn, I was on them edibles, my n-gga. I gotta be more careful. You right, nephew.”
