Tekashi 6ix9ine just surpassed the two-week mark behind bars. But according to TMZ, his time in jail has been riddled with tension. His affiliation with the Nine Trey Bloods gang has made him an easy target. Several Crips have reportedly “G-Checked” (or “gangsta checked”) 6ix9ine as he awaits his next hearing.
Law enforcement sources said one particular incident occurred on November 19, shortly after he was arrested on racketeering charges. During intake, an alleged Crip gang member confronted 6ix9ine to establish who was in charge. He allegedly told the controversial rapper he would’ve been attacked if authorities hadn’t intervened.
One of 6ix9ine’s attorneys, Lance Lazzaro, confirmed the 22-year-old “was being threatened in jail. However, he was not scared nor did he request being removed. The [Bureau of Prisons], acting upon these threats, removed him to a different facility to eliminate the threat.”
