Kanye West has admitted that he actually hates My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
The 2010 album is widely considered to be Ye’s finest project and one of the greatest albums of all time, but the controversial rapper does not hold it in as high regard.

In a series of posts on X this past weekend, West said: “I hate My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Like haaaaaaate that album.”
Explaining his disdain for the album, he added: “I made Dark Fantasy out of fear and to prove something. It was like ‘coming back from the Taylor Swift moment’. I should have leaned in more,” referencing his infamous interruption of the pop star at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

The Chicago native continued by negatively comparing MBDTF to his 2016 album The Life of Pablo: “The Life of Pablo is waaaay better than My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Go song for song.”
He then said: “Songs I love on Dark Fantasy are: Devil in a New Dress, Blame Game. Songs I love on N-gger Cock now known as Yeezus cause Don C influenced me to change the title: On Site, Hold My Liquor, Blood on the Leaves.”
This is not the first time that Kanye West has downplayed the greatness of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which has been ranked by Rolling Stone as the 17th greatest album of all time and the eighth best of the 21st century.
In a separate social media outburst last month, he raised eyebrows by claiming: “Ye Album waaaay better than Dark Fantasy.”
Released in 2018, the seven-song Ye is generally considered one of the weakest efforts in Kanye’s catalog and fans were quick to tell him as much, with one commenting: “Every Ye album is better than that trash.”
Another told the rap icon to “stop lying,” while someone else responded with a video of an emotional Kendrick Lamar screaming, “No!”

One user even posted a poll, asking fans to vote between the two albums. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy easily won, bringing in over 78 percent of the vote.
