Kanye West has made yet another controversial statement — this time regarding his much-debated discography.
While far less offensive than his recent antisemitic, homophobic and misogynistic rants on social media, the Chicago rap legend has raised eyebrows among his fans by claiming that his 2018 album Ye is far superior to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

In a since-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday (March 2), he wrote on X: “Ye Album waaaay better than Dark Fantasy.”
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is widely considered to be Kanye’s best album and one of the greatest LPs in music history, while Ye is one of the lowest scored entries in his catalog.
Fans were quick to tell him just as much, with one commenting: “Every Ye album is better than that trash.”
Another told Yeezy to “stop lying,” while someone else responded with a video of an emotional Kendrick Lamar screaming, “No!”

One account even posted a poll, asking fans to vote between the two albums.
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy easily won the poll, bringing in over 78 percent of the vote.
It was previously reported that Kanye West initially wanted to name the seven-song Ye after Adolf Hitler.
In a 2022 article detailing West’s alleged long-standing admiration of the notorious Nazi leader, CNN spoke to four sources who told them that the rapper “had originally suggested the title ‘Hitler’ for his 2018 album that eventually released as ‘Ye.'”

Kanye’s support of Hitler recently culminated in him proudly wearing a swastika T-shirt out in public.
Last week (February 28), the 47-year-old was spotted in Los Angeles wearing the controversial garment and openly flaunting it to paparazzi.

West previously faced repercussions over the T-shirt when his Shopify account was taken down after he began selling the clothing item on his Yeezy website.
Despite the backlash, Ye has publicly declared that he wants to perform at the 2026 Super Bowl wearing a swastika T-shirt.
