Diddy and his attorneys are hoping to add a Black woman to their legal team before his federal trial begins in a just a few short weeks.
The embattled mogul currently has two white men leading his team: Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos. According to TMZ, the new addition would not just be for appearances (as they’ve made the argument numerous times that this case is merely a matter of feds of trying to take a rich, successful Black man down) but they need her to come with her A-game.
They say the two men will still be the lead counselors, but they are looking to add more support.
As of now, jury selection for the trial begins in less than three weeks on May 5, so the clock is ticking. However, Agnifilo and Geragos are asking to push at least two weeks.

In the meantime, Diddy has formally entered a plea in response to the superseding indictment filed against him in his sex trafficking case.
The Bad Boy Records founder appeared in a Manhattan court on Monday (April 14) to answer additional charges of sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.
As expected, Diddy entered a plea of not guilty.
In the third superseding indictment filed earlier this month, prosecutors slapped the disgraced mogul with two further charges, accusing him of using force, fraud or coercion to compel a woman to engage in commercial sex acts between 2021 and 2024.

The indictment also accused Puffy of transporting said woman (identified in legal documents as “Victim-2”) and sex workers to engage in prostitution.
In response to the additional charges, his legal team said: “These are not new allegations or new accusers. These are the same individuals, former long-term girlfriends, who were involved in consensual relationships. This was their private sex life, defined by consent, not coercion.”
Prosecutors have said they expect four accusers to testify against Diddy at trial. It has been reported that former girlfriend Cassie is the most high-profile among them.
