New York, NY

The U.S. Attorney has reportedly filed additional charges against Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, one of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s alleged Nine Trey Bloods associates. According to The Blast, the superseding indictment reveals Jones was slapped with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Prosecutors believe Jones was one of the masterminds behind the Nine Trey Bloods’ drug operation and trafficked large amounts of heroin, fentanyl and MDMA.

As of Thursday (November 29), 6ix9ine isn’t included in the superseding indictment but he’s still facing up to life in prison if convicted on two of the charges he’s facing.

As stated on The U.S. Department of Justice website, the polarizing rapper is facing multiple felonies — from racketeering and conspiracy to using or carrying a firearm during and in relation to, or possessing a firearm in furtherance of, a crime of violence.

Jones is one of the crew members the feds wiretapped shortly after 6ix9ine’s interview with The Breakfast Club. The transcript shows Jones talking to 6ix9ine’s ex-manager Kifano “Shotti” Jordan and an unidentified individual about a potential plot to shoot the 22-year-old Brooklyn native.
