A day after Tekashi 6ix9ine fired his entire team and canceled all U.S. tour dates, the Brooklyn-bred rapper headed back to The Breakfast Club where he explained why.
On Friday (November 16), he told Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee that his booking agents were stealing money from him.
“There’s so much money out here to be stolen,” he explains around the 13:15-minute mark. “A lot of people think I’m on cocaine now, buggin’ and they like, ‘Yo you just paranoid.’ But I know.”
After a few words about his “insane” streaming numbers and Drake, 6ix9ine continues to explain why he got rid of his team.

“I’m the hottest artist in America,” he says. “My rate right now for shows in $100,000. Nothing under $100,000. So they’re like we got these 15 days for you .These dirty ass booking agents are like, ‘Yo, we have $60,000 for this that and the third, right? I’m like, ‘Yo, why so low?’ ‘Listen Tekashi, we’re cleaning up your name right now. These venues are scared of you.’
“They’re like, ‘Yo, this kid is a loose cannon.’ I don’t care. It’s not stopping my money because I still get booked. Live Nation has their venues … There’s other venues. You’re not going to stop me. I’m gonna get away with everything I wanna get away with. So these dirty promoters, this is MTA Booking, they’re dirty. [They told me] ‘Most of the money is going to security and local police because they don’t want you there, so we have to pay for that.'”
After agreeing to clear his name, 6ix9ine revealed he ultimately discovered the booking agents had skimmed $120,000 of a particular offer. He also says they gave the promotors his mother’s address and told them to “go do something to his mother” if 6ix9ine didn’t show up to perform.
Elsewhere in the interview, 6ix9ine discusses his father’s murder, the recent gunfire at his Los Angeles video shoot with Kanye West and Nicki Minaj and more.
