Diddy took some time to discuss the battle between Pusha T and Drake, the lack of response from Drake and how the feud compares to the Biggie/Tupac beef during a phone interview with The Breakfast Club on Thursday morning (June 7).
When asked about the Pusha/Drake situation, Diddy explained it’s all part of the game and that Drake picked a tough opponent to go up against.
“It’s a part of Hip Hop,” he said. “If you’re trying to be the best MC, there is going to be battles. At this juncture in time, it’s like kind of safe. When we was having battles, it was getting unsafe. I think this is the most skillful artist that Drake has come up against. And Drake likes the smoke, he loves the smoke.”

Diddy also agreed with J. Prince that the jabs were getting ugly and said it was smart for Drake to listen to his OG and not respond. He also compared the situation to Biggie and Tupac’s beef, revealing he had advised Biggie not to respond to the infamous “Hit ‘Em Up” diss in an effort to avoid violence.
But ultimately, Diddy believes Pusha got the win since Drake didn’t respond. Still, he didn’t see it as anything that would end Drake’s career.
“It’s all good,” he said. “Life moves on.”
