Once again, rapper Earl “DMX” Simmons ,
finds himself on the wrong side of the law. Not withstanding, his recent
vehicle citations for speeding and reckless driving don’t compare to the
concealed handgun DMX was cited for outside of a Scottsdale, Arizona
nightclub.
Officers spotted Simmons, near Buzz on Scottsdale road, when he stopped officers saw
him remove his weapon from the holster and place it underneath the front seat
of the ’64 Chevy convertible.
“He was cited for a misdemeanor weapons violation for not having a permit
to conceal the weapon”, Scottsdale
police Detective Sam Bailey said, adding “He had the top down,
the cops were right in the area, and they saw him take out the gun and put it
under the front seat.”
This may prove costly if the rappers probation is affected by the November
charges which landed him in jail for 70 days for being charged with driving
over a 100 mph in a 65 mph zone with a suspended license in 2004. Simmons was
already due in court June 16th to face his June 2nd vehicle charges, of driving
erratically and nearly forcing another driver off the road, but the earlier
date was postponed on behalf of his attorney Murray Richman. He is
due in court June 21st to face those charges and also due in court the same day
for another incident when he began driving on the shoulder and attempting to
dangerously re-enter traffic.
