Doechii is high on the list of Doja Cat‘s favorite artists – and the feeling is quite mutual.

Taking to X over the weekend, Doja expressed her love for the Florida-bred artist, who she previously brought out on the road with her for her Scarlet Tour in 2023.

“Doechii is MY inspiration. Doechii is here to STAY,” Doja wrote.

Responding shortly after, Doechii sent the love right back.

“I love you I love you I love you. You maintain EXCELLENCE in RAP!” she said. “You are an ICON. You are THEE performer and artist we all know we can count on to make cool ART. Keep shittin on everybody boo, nobody fuckin whichu. V coming soon bitches.”

Doja replied: “I love you too, pimp. Thank you and never stop making people move or I’ll cut my clit off.”

Doechii’s mention of “V coming soon” is in reference to Doja Cat’s new album, which she revealed in a post to X earlier this year is titled Vie and is “coming soon.”

Around her birthday in October, the “Say So” rapper previewed some of the album at an intimate Airbnb fan experience which attendees described “as a blend of Pop and R&B,” according to Genius.

The album will follow 2023’s Scarlet, which featured the hit singles “Paint The Town Red” and “Agora Hills.” A deluxe edition titled Scarlet 2 CLAUDE was released seven months later in April 2024.

The streaming giant released a graphic showing the listener count of the most popular female rappers on April 1. Sitting at the top was Doechii with just under 60 million monthly listeners, and rounding out the top five are Doja Cat with 56.5 million, Nicki Minaj with 45.1 million, Cardi B with 28 million and Megan Thee Stallion with 26.4 million.
