Cardi B is confident that her long-awaited sophomore album is going to blow her top-selling debut, Invasion Of Privacy, out of the water.
Talking to her followers on X Spaces on Sunday (April 6), the Bronx superstar started to hype up the project…but backed down before she got her fans too excited.
“I know IOP is of course one of the best albums ever, but I really think my second album is beating it,” she said. “I don’t know why. I just really believe so. Nah, let me not talk. I’m not tryna get jumped by you muthafuckas!”

Earlier this month, Cardi B hinted that fans can expect some big-name guests on the as-of-yet unnamed effort.

“The features on my album are really good,” she said on X Spaces. “I don’t have a lot of features but I’m working with artists, some that I have worked with before and some that I haven’t worked with before. And the ones that I have not worked with before, I feel like it’s gonna really, really surprise y’all.”
She continued: “It’s such a vibe. I’m 100 percent confident with this album. I just don’t think what I got is out there. I gave y’all some clues on my features, that’s it.”
Cardi’s initial promise that the album would arrive in 2024 came before she found out she was pregnant with her third child.
However, she’s been consistently posting from the studio since the baby arrived in September, indicating that she’s full steam ahead and will hopefully deliver on what became a newer promise of 2025.

Though she hasn’t released many details, there were recently some hints as to what it may be named.
In July, TMZ spotted Cardi’s company Washpoppin, Inc. applying for trademarks to two phrases, specifically wanting to use both in “Pre-recorded record albums featuring music,” among other related uses.
The phrases are “Defamation of character” and “Intrusive thoughts.” There was also a third that the outlet missed, “Am I The Drama?”

In addition to albums, Cardi also wants to be able to use the phrases for music videos, “downloadable music files” and more.
