While the wait for the follow-up to Invasion of Privacy is now in its eighth year, the Bronx bombshell has promised that it will be worth the wait when it finally drops.

Speaking on X Spaces, she hyped her eagerly anticipated project by saying: “The features on my album are really good. I don’t have a lot of features but I’m working with artists, some that I have worked with before and some that I haven’t worked with before. And the ones that I have not worked with before, I feel like it’s gonna really, really surprise y’all.”

Cardi continued: “It’s such a vibe. I’m 100 percent confident with this album. I just don’t think what I got is out there. I gave y’all some clues on my features, that’s it.”

Despite her rumored relationship with New England Patriots star Stefon Diggs, Cardi B previously said that she was swearing off sex to finish her new album, which will hopefully be released before the end of 2025.

“I don’t even want to take dick right now, because every single time I take dick, I get distracted. I don’t want no distraction,” she said on social media in January.

“I put a little pause on my dating life because January is very, very, very, very important, and I have a mission to complete. And if I don’t complete this mission, it’s gonna fuck up the schedule for this year.”

The mother of three added: “I’m a very emotional person, and when I get emotional, I don’t do things with love. And you could hear it in my music: my voice cracks a lot. You could see it in my face when I work. I just don’t got thrive when I get emotional.

“I don’t even want to entertain n-ggas because I’m the type of person that, if I text you and you ain’t text me back in thirty minutes, you pissed me off. So now I’m pissed at you for a whole two hours, so now I’m distracted. So I don’t even want to entertain n-ggas right now until my work is out the way.”

Cardi has so far released a handful of potential singles from her as-yet-untitled second album, including “Enough (Miami),” “Up” and the raunchy chart-topping hit “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion.

However, further details (including an all-important release date) have long been elusive, much to the growing frustration of her fans.

Only time will tell whether 2025 will finally be the year we get a new Bardi album, as promised.
