DDG did not ignore a dap from Young Thug while at the late Nipsey Hussle‘s Marathon Burger spot – despite what it looked like on camera.
Over the weekend, DDG pulled up and live streamed from Marathon Burger on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles, which is owned and operated by Nipsey’s brother, Blacc Sam. Thugger also pulled up at one point, and the stream showed him reach his hand out for a slightly longer-than-average wait time before Sam noticed and returned his dap.
However, DDG was to the side and it looked to some fans as if he blatantly ignored Thug’s hand – but he cleared that up upon seeing the online chatter.
“Man they spinning this shit,” he said while reading a headline. “‘Young Thug tried to dap up DDG but he ignored him.’ No he wasn’t. I said what’s up to him when I first walked in and [my camera man] Johnny didn’t see it so y’all didn’t see it. He was dapping up Nipsey brother.”

In other news, DDG has admitted the controversial gift he got for his son Halo’s first birthday – a full size Ferrari – was actually just a rental.

The rapper/YouTuber was met with a lot of negative reactions from fans online when he posted the “gift” back in December, as clearly the one-year-old can’t operate a real car yet.
But during a new live stream with model India Love, DDG admitted it was not an actual purchase.
“Want me to be honest? I rented it. Okay? I said it,” he told her. “I think it was cool. It was a good moment. He gon’ be able to look at it when he get older.”
Elsewhere at Halo’s first birthday oarty, DDG and his ex-girlfriend/co-parent Halle Bailey reunited publicly for the first time since their split earlier this year.

Bailey also serenaded Halo by singing happy birthday to him in front of partygoers.
